If she's hot, she must be fake

It is quite educational to see how the gamma male finds the idea of the existence of a highly attractive woman to be literally incredible:
I noted another odd thing: both times the same old photo of Spacebunny emerged. In fact it appeared to be the only photo of the woman. A professionally-taken modelling photo apparently. Hmm....

Before Vox Day's minions (real and sockpuppety) pop up in here to burn me alive in a wicker model of their leader's phallus, I should add this post is no less spurious, cherry-picked and unscientific as anything on Vox Day's blog. If Vox Day can say NK Jemesin isn't fully human, then I can say Vox Day's wife doesn't even fucking exist.
James Worrad can say whatever he likes, but that doesn't make his statements true.  For example, he is correct to note that the only picture of the woman he has found is a professionally-taken modelling photo, but although I know it is very hard for gamma males like him to believe it, "perfect-ten" women who have such photos taken of them do exist in real life.  Some of them even marry SF/F writers.

They just don't want anything to do with creepy little goblins like him.

Assuming Spacebunny's nonexistence isn't Mr. Worrad's only error.  I never said NK Jemesin isn't fully human, in fact, Ms Jemisin is the one who talked about herself that way. Worrad is claiming the right to do something on the basis of something I never did.  As for the false claim that I have a reputation for sockpuppeting, that is totally untrue and the accusation was nothing more than a figment of the Ghastly Toad of Tor's imagination.

Worrad provides a useful example of how strong the gamma delusion bubble is.  It will actually lead a gamma to deny the existence of an individual whom dozens of people on the blog have met in person, and with whom literally hundreds of other readers have interacted.  The delusion bubble can even lead the gamma to conclude that it is more reasonable for him to assume an elaborate sockpuppeting plan rather than accept the fact that a man much higher up the socio-sexual hierarchy than him would naturally attract much more attractive women.

The blue pill is one hell of a drug. By far, the strongest psychotropic I've ever been sold. You have to be eternally vigilant to avoid relapses.

Side effects: white knighting, bitterness, deluded views of reality, cognitive dissonance

I had to look at that a second time to see that their "evidence" that she has your argumentative style was a meme mocking her and you with a parody of your writing style.

And do people actually post half their life on a pinterest page?

That's his evidence? Really?

This is why my usual tactic in an argument with a typical leftie is not to try to change their mind, but to steer them in a direction that makes it clear to everyone around that they are borderline psychopaths.

I wonder what the rainbow on that man's blog theme suggests..?

You could replace Worrad's entire post with "ROWR!" Didn't think it was possible for a man to sound so catty.

BTW, what does he mean by referring to you as a "corpse-in-waiting"? Sounds threatening.

OT: How an alpha takes control of a situation. MSNBC's Morning Joe hosts treat Russell Brand very rudely, so he takes control and humiliates one of the female hosts. The last couple of minutes of the video are pure gold.

He must have missed there were at least three storied posts at Vox Popoli where Spacebunny called you and/or the Dread Ilk complete morons, but maybe that's your super secret double reverse backslash strategery.

I'm friends with Spacebunny. She's as bangin' hot as that one picture he posted even when she is in casual mode. It amuses me to think so many people believe she is some fake construct. Who have I been talking to all these years?? Vox? He's too pedantic (sorry, dude, you have a very particular writing style) and she definitely is not. Maybe that's evidence that he has multiple personalities? He's even more crazy than they claim, right? Ugh. Stupid people are just...stupid.

LL said...

By the way, I have a question. Do you think it frightens them, the concept that a woman can be beautiful and smart, a great mom and wife and be physically fit to boot, and she is married to a smart man who refuses to bow before the female imperative and illogic that so many other men do in this world? Is that what scares them enough to deny her existence? I try to wrap my mind around why they think Vox cannot have a wife like that and I can't parse out the reasoning. Do they truly believe that a man who sees the truth and reality cannot get a good woman? Do they think that women like Spacebunny are only won by men who accept self-delusion, who accept shit-testing and irrational behavior? W

I was thinking of offering him a hint of where the "corroborating evidence" he asked for could be found, but no, it's funnier this way.

I remember at least three different photos of SB having been linked to at VP. One of them an obvious, non-professional snapshot (picture on Nate's blog from the beach), one clearly professional (the black and white one), and one probably amateur photography but with a little bit of effort in the setup.

I've always laughed at the people who's beliefs are conditional: "if you say this, then I'll believe this or that".

BTW, I hate this format. I have to continuously recenter the page so I can read it at a decent size. I want the focus on the content, not the left sidebar.

Gamma logic: If she's too hot for me then she's too hot for you.

Play with them, Vox. Get a pic of SB with her hands all over you.

That should drive them to suicide.

Nate said...

Y'all have to remember these people live in a tiny little bubble of a sub-culture. They are so isolated in that sub-culture that they really have convinced themselves that the rest of the world doesn't even exist.

The primary offense here is that Vox has penetrated that bubble and is interfering with their denial. He is, on some level, reminding them that they are really the rejects.

Just like middle school... these kids sit together because no one else will have them... then they convince themselves that they are really the cool kids and everyone else is lame.

Same shit.

So they never grew up? Dear God....

Markku said...

That would be accepting his frame. Low-status move.

Nate said...

its more about the sub culture... its like Harley Davidson fans. They can convince themselves that they have the fastest most awesomest motorcycles in the world... because they close their eyes and ignore the other bikes.

Never mind that sportbike that blew by at 180mph. That didn't happen. They didn't see that.

Pretty sure Nate's old harem bit or whatever had a SB pic

I doubt that.

It would be a very cruel thing to do to these poor bunnies. But Vox is an AWCA.

Reminds me of women who argue "there are good men left" bc of their experience (preference) for assholes.

Gammas are similar to women in solipsism. Just bc they never find themselves with a babe doesn't mean there aren't any.

You should put up a Youtube video of the two of you confirming that she is, in fact, your wife. While it would play into their frame, I think it would be hilarious to see their reactions.

Polynices said...

What a fucking idiot. Not everyone lives online and not everyone likes having their picture everywhere. My wife (just for example) has exactly one picture of herself anywhere online and it's a flattering professionally done shot (mainly for LinkedIn, she's a consultant). Utterly unremarkable that Spacebunny might use a single flattering professional shot.

@Nate: "They are so isolated in that sub-culture that they really have convinced themselves that the rest of the world doesn't even exist."

But which came first, the chicken or the egg? I wonder if gammas aren't made in higher numbers today because of their exposure to Sci-Fi TV programs. They may consciously know there's a difference between real life and what they see on TV, but subconsciously, you can only watch so much girl empowering, multiculturalist, emasculating claptrap before you find yourself believing in it and behaving the way they do.

The way modern Sci-Fi pushes these agendas makes me think Sci-Fi nerds are more likely to become gamma because of this negative influence on their lives. It also makes me wonder if I gave up my screenwriting career too soon. With traditional TV and movie industries falling apart, I wonder if there's a place for strong, male oriented TV.

It's strange how that one photo has vanished off the internet, and only my parody version remains, from way back when we made fun about our favorite little thing to make fun of.

It's a dwarf. With Vox's face. The meme was that Vox is short. That's not entirely accurate, but he is short by Minnesota standards. And one makes fun of what one can.

Eric Wilson said...

Great now you've got me thinking he's a runt like Marshall from How I Met Your Mother is the runt of his Minnesotan family.

But we shortly moved on. Kinda grew out of it. We're bigger men than that over here, after all.

It was kind of a tall order, but we did it.

Eric Wilson said...

Indeed. You can't let something so petite dwarf the big issues.

Oh lol. The same thing happened with my bf once. A bunch of trolls accused me of being his sockpuppet, cuz there were no pics of him and me together. I even started a blog pretending to be his imagination, but then we produced photos of us together and the shitstorm died down at the same time.

Res Ipsa said...

Is Space Bunny real?

Hard to say. My son has some very nice hand knitted baby hats that she was kind enough to make and send him when he was born. Of course, maybe Vox has a secret knitting fetish we don’t know about and he uses her as an allies to send out the baby clothes he clandestinely makes in his basement. Then there is another matter, I have a rather good recipe for Vodka Penne that allegedly SB sent me. Perhaps Vox Day is just a pseudonym for Martha Stewart. We know he likes to use fake names to hide his real identity.

The most convincing argument for her being real is that Farmer Tom and his wife have actually met her. I have never know Farmer Tom to lie so I would accept his testimony on its face. Mrs Farmer says SB is a nice looking women, and that’s good enough for me. Then again I have seen Nate’s semi-nude pics of her. Ten years ago when those were taken she was a rather fetching example of a female.

No, you are the one who missed the the point of your little post, which was that you could, for a brief time, feel important. As TS Eliot puts it, "Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm; but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.”

He could say that. But it never changes the fact that he will be thinking "I can't believe such an asshole has such a hot wife!?"

They cannot call Vox an idiot due to his mensa membership.

Now they cannot question his attractiveness to women, especially top tier women.

It will drive them mad, I tell you. MAD! xD

Heard shit was being talked about me at Vox's manly man blog. Res, get your fake arse name signed up to a fake arse social media account on FB or Twitter, make your profile pic Tom Jones for effect. I'm around, but I just read blogs these days, can't be stuffed commenting.

Jamie is still alive?

I know Spacebunny exists because LL said so, and I met her in real life. So that's two degrees of separation.

I suspected that she wasn't real, but I didn't want to say so because that might make her angry. you wouldn't like her when she's angry.
