The optimal solution

Don't let either side vote:
One way to look at this dispute is to see this fight as a symptom of a deep-seated feud with roots in feminist theory. But there's also a simpler way to look at it. Some people feel, strongly, that supporting the first woman president is an important feminist act. Others feel, strongly, that supporting the biggest backer of the social safety net is an important feminist act.
I'm not saying that this article about which Democratic candidate is supported by what women, and why, is the most powerful argument against women's suffrage ever penned, but it is certainly a strong one.

It's rather fascinating, though, because at no point is the idea that voting for elected office might be anything other than "an important feminist act" seriously contemplated.

It shows just how contingent feminism is upon the conditions of comfort and security built up by centuries of male effort when picking the next head of state is simply a matter of having the right genitalia. Spoiled feminists live in a time of such ease and largesse that they can view the POTUS as a ceremonial position rather than a defender against external threats.

Feminists make their bones by causing unrest and separating women from men/society. You can't have feminist interests if you have American interests or Family interests.

Feminists voting in American elections is like Soviets or Australians voting in American elections. It's not a conflict or a division. It's plain subversion and fraud.

When I imagine George Galloway as PM in Britain, it makes me thankful a creature like Clinton II is pure snake, rather than an ideologue.

Unknown said...

Vox, haven't you said that you support women's suffrage on nativist grounds?
Tom, there are feminists in some very uncomfortable and insecure countries.
White, do you consider Galloway to be a feminist?

No. But I have said I support their voting in a direct democracy. Not ideal, but better than the current system.

Unknown said...

I don't understand. It's your hypothetical "direct democracy," so why not go with your ideal? I take it your ideal "national libertarian" system is not a direct democracy?

I say we let women vote. All their ballots to be cast in special pink ballot boxes so at the end of Election Day they can easily be burned, all uncounted of course!

Unknown, you and your friends in the He-Man Woman Haters Club can make up whatever adorable rules you like. I'll still vote and show my ankles in public and bob my hair.

"I'll still vote and show my ankles in public and bob my hair."

I guess utopia is when all women have bob haircuts. Men are oppressing women because they don't like women who look like men. This is bobbism and our resident feminist is going to save the human race from this awful discrimination. And without leaving her keyboard! Take that, Martin Luther King!

You go grrrrl, Violet! As the apostle for the manly unattractive women, prove that you can be even more unattractive by cutting your hair short. When male chauvinists (such as us) see you with a haircut similar to the one that use a low-class truck driver, you will make us speechless. A huge win against the patriarchy.

This brave revolutionary action initiates a new future. Next step of the progress: Violet don't showing for one month to fight dirtyism. Shit is beautiful. The personal is political. You go, grrrl!

Unknown said...

Actually, Chent, the bobbed hair thing, like the ankles and women voting was a reference to behavior that considered daring in the early twentieth century. I don't believe I have seen many men, certainly not "low-class truck drivers" with bob hairstyles.
My point was that women actually already fought for and won the vote, back when ankle-baring skirts were shocking, whereas your little plans about when and if women should be allowed to vote remain the sad fantasies of bitter losers.

I'm not a big fan of suffrage in general. The idea that people who were built to follow, Aristotle's 'natural slaves', should exercise political power is unsettling.

Most men, like most women, are not responsible enough to wield the power of the vote. Not only that, but when political power is democratized, citizens feel like they have the right to interfere in the lives of others. The idea that the state should "run society" is an arrogant product of democracy, and ironically a product of universalism and egalitarianism. (This is where fascism fails)

Most healthy societies with high social trust and strong cultures run themselves. The role of the state is that of a watch repairman or car mechanic. I wouldn't trust my car to a council of 100 elected mechanics each with conflicting ideas on how to fix it. I'd rather take my chances that one qualified mechanic is competent.

Arbitrary power is the least evil and intrusive of the forms of government. A king might hang a few dissidents per year. A mob of witch hunters hangs thousands.

"My point was that women actually already COMPLAINED AND BITCHED. "

Fixed for ya. No women was dead because of the suffrage. It was only a bunch of spinsters holding banners to get the attention they craved and they couldn't get because they were completely ugly (see the pictures please).

(By contrast, fight against slavery was a real fight. That is, people got killed to fight for their dream. Whining and bitching is not a sacrifice for women. It is only fun).

I guess the more things change, the more things remain the same, Violet. Unattractive women must get their attention fix by going to a blog like this, although there are plenty of feminist sites in the web.

"and WERE GIVEN the vote,"

Fixed for ya. Men who were completely pussywhipped by their mothers giving the vote to these harpies because little boys should do what mommy says.

To be fair, average men were victims of this scam, too. They brainwash us using the school and mass media and then give us the vote so we vote what they want us to vote. They fake some stupid difference between parties so it is not that evident.

"the bobbed hair thing, like the ankles and women voting was a reference to behavior that considered daring in the early twentieth century."

Right, Violet. The progress has solved that. No more bobbism, please. Now it's dirtyism turn.

Now, you can make a difference by going to vote completely naked and without having going under the shower for one month. This is daring and daring is good!!!! Think about that! You will make these loser chauvinist tremble before this feminist bravado!!! You go grrlll.

Well, I have to go. Today is Valentine's day. I will let Violet have the last word. In the era of patriarchy, she would have a family to love and be loved.

Now she has to brag about putting a piece of paper into a box every fourth year (action that does not make any difference at all in a world dominated by the elite). And spend her limited time on Earth playing revolutionary in a blog full of men to get the attention she can't get in the real life.

This is the sad state to which feminism has reduced women. But, hey, cats love it. Think about the cats!

This week, I asked a recently-married woman if her new name feels weird. She replied saying it does feel different, because her last name indicates to whom she belongs. Before it was her family and now it's her husband.

Which exemplifies exactly why women need to be kept under a male thumb. Especially the uppity ones, except they need spanked first.

Sigsawyer, you are right the aristocracies and monarchies of old were far kinder and more just. But the cruel lie of egalitarianism has convinced everyone they are equally fit to rule.

You talk so brave. Right up until the bad mens show up. Then you'll whine and cry and scream for rescue like a proud strong independent woman who don't need no man.

See, that's precisely why you shouldn't be permitted to vote. Because the economic might has been stripped and the barbarians are now inside the gates. Your entire position is a) solipsistic and b) based on a lie.

I do particularly enjoy the assumption that once "progress" happens, it can never be rolled back, as if the whole of history was one straight line to glorious egalitarian utopia.

It bears a magnificent, but not shocking ignorance of historical cycles, since for the average person these days history begins with Hitler or at earliest, the French Revolution.

The inevitable result of the concept of women's rights -- to say nothing of Woman's Rights as the guidestone of the West, the highest ideal, the ethical compass. Once women are permitted to collectivize politically, Barry Soetoro is as inevitable as abortion or mass fatherlessness.

VD, am I understanding that your argument here is that white western woman must choose masters: rapacious jihadist hordes or good Christian patriarch husbands? Have you seen the things some of followers of yours write about women? Trust me on this: I won't be calling on any of your lot to save me. I live alone in a U.S. city; I'm not unaware of my own vulnerability. If my locks and dogs and gun don't protect me, so be it; at least I will have lived my life on my own terms.
Observer, I was not suggesting voting or other rights won could not be lost. Only women's suffrage is not seriously threatened by the mra/alt-right hopes and dreams.

Yeah. So what?

"I won't be calling on any of your lot to save me"

Talk is cheap when your butt isn't on the line. No athiests in foxholes, no strong independent women either.

Violet, when you saw that picture of the dead Syrian kid on the beach from a few months ago, what was your reaction?

If it was anything other than "what a cynical bit of propaganda designed to exploit my female sympathy for little children", then you don't deserve any political power. Now of course there might be faggy male shitlibs who were moved to tears by the same, but they don't deserve any either.

For all your talk about bitter losers, I'd bet that little delusion bubble of yours would pop if you could see our faces and occupations versus the commenters on some leftist site.

This reminds me of news articles that surfaced after the Iranian revolution. When the feminists marched in jeans and t-shirts, they were attacked by Islamists armed with knives and clubs. And that's the last we heard from Iranian feminists.

Women in the West don't realize how reliant they are on the state's monopoly on violence even as they undermine the men who maintain it.

Unknown said...

Eric, there are still Iranian feminists. In government, in the universities, in the professions, etc. There always have been.
It still looks like VDs contention is that we'd better become slaves now to you nice guys in order to avoid later becoming slaves to those bad guys.

A women's society would probably fall into violence as well, that would be a great experiment to watch.

My guess on how it would fare, since they are herding creatures it would be a ceaseless struggle for dominance in the female hierarchy, mainly non lethal with the occasional exception of the lowest loser being sacrificed. Once the herds were shaped and formed and they come up against some form of resource limitation then the violence would be as pitiless as female prairie dogs eating their own or slaughtering the neighboring burrows young. Brutality without pity.

Female prisons are not noted for physical dominance displays of lethal violence but they have a hierarchy and the Big White Father supplies all the agreed upon needs except maybe dildos. Meaning we can't use the prison model for my experiments.

@Violet Black

Women have no strength, no vision, no organizational or strategic capability. You did not earn the right to vote, you were given it by men, and you are thoroughly dependent on the mercy of men to keep it.

That you come here to bitch and moan about men's views on the issue and spew out shaming tactics on men who think differently is testament to this fact.

Not being allowed to vote is not the same thing as being a slave , but I for one am certain you'd sooner be a slave to the bad guys out of spite.

Mr.MantraMan said...

I find no joy in thinking what the third world savages would do to Violet Black without the Great White Father's protection

But I would find it fascinating what the females of the third world would do to her at the slightest hint that she is above them in the female hierarchy or the herd that enslaved her would do if the fountain of sugar treats ran dry.

The end point of feminism is always the paranoid society that requires burkas and segregation to prevent honor killings. Feminism is not the solution to Islamist horrors, but the cause of them.

Violet is doing that "speaking of women as a class on their behalf" thing. Also assuming the readers on Game would have any interest in her.

R Devere said...

Violet is the type of woman from whom the bad guys would first take her gun, use it to shoot her dogs and then rape each of her orifices until they were a collective bloody mess! Then, she'd blame her entire dilemma on "Patriarchy"!

What's even more hilarious about her comments, is reviewing old newspapers from the Suffragette Era and seeing how many women's organizations were against giving women the vote, because those sensible women understood that many women like Violet, would vote "vagina" rather than use their brains.
