It's a bit amusing, as the way the numbers work out, it's pretty clear that women prefer wi-fi and chocolate, whereas men prefer sex and alcohol. But I am surprised, as I would have expected television to rank higher for women than either wi-fi or chocolate. If a consistent internet connection is more important to you than having an active sex life, you wouldn't be alone. According to a new study, 4 in 10 of us identify Wi-Fi as our most important daily need, above sex, chocolate and alcohol. The study, carried about by Wi-Fi connectivity provider iPass, surveyed 1,700 working professionals across Europe and the US about their connectivity habits. It involved asking participants to rank the importance of Wi-Fi against other "human luxuries and necessities" on a scale of 1-4, with one being most important and 4 bring least important. Wi-Fi was labelled most important by 40.2% of respondents, followed by sex (36.6%), chocolate (14.3%) and alcohol, which was ranked as the number one daily essential by 8.9% of respondents.
Female readers, you may now proceed to snowflake.

Seems like females have better reading comprehension -- regardless of how you feel about it, sex is obviously not a daily need.
Without wi-fi, they couldn't get that constant ego boost from dudes on social media liking and complimenting and offering dick.
Just means that wi-fi is replacing TV. How can you FB and play candy crush or give OMG 1000 likes to your favorite insta-mommy latest picture of her OMG so perfect life.
You're right, Vox. Women are the biggest class of gamers out there, but they only play female oriented games. Social media is the great time waster of our age.

Interesting. Better than whom? Considering on the scale of things, sex(necessary for the continuation of the species) versus a technology said species survived without (and over half still do) until the last twenty years... I think perhaps your reading comprehension may be at fault - or perhaps your value rankings.

"Proceed to"...??!!
Since when have they ever NOT snowflaked?
I'm pretty sure my tax dollars went to fund this useless study. "What's more important to you? The highway system or UPS?" If they'd cut it down to something specific like Facebook it would at least be comparing apples to oranges, but as things stand sex vs internet is like apples vs geometry.j
A bit of mental discipline, and I can survive perfectly fine without sex. Take away the internet, though, and I'd have to completely redesign my life (the prepper in me has some plans in that arena, but I'd just as soon not have an EMP go off).
Males produce more sperm in a second than women will produce eggs in a lifetime.
Humane management of this biological fact is what we call 'civilization'.
If it's not "guys and women" in one sentence, it's "males and women."
Mass media have conditioned us into an aversion from the word "man."

"Mass media have conditioned us into an aversion from the word "man."
Yes, it's always "white male" or "white boy."
I've taken to correcting people who make these mistakes.
If you can always get sex, then sex is not a priority

Wi-Fi is of course, the great Matriarchal invention
Boko Harambe is right, women get their TV by WiFi.

Good article on election aftermath:
A Populist Election and Its Aftermath by Fr. George Rutler
http://www.crisismagazine.com/2016/populist-election-aftermath
from the article:
"We are here today because those disciples did as they were told, and were not shrewd as doves and innocent as snakes. It is not racist, or any other unchristian form of phobia, to recall that the Apostles are Dead White Guys. If that was a liability, they managed well. Their Master, who wills that none be lost and that all be saved, was a Dead White Guy for just three days. That haunts those huddled in safe spaces and hallows all who court danger to follow him."

Interesting. I'm not even 100% certain what Wi-Fi is, tbh. Isn't it a term from about 10-12 years ago?
This is a good example of the depravity of the modern woman. She exists for one reason to bear children - which part and parcel of course includes taking care of her husband's sexual drive. Yet, they'd rather play on the internet than engage in the real life work of being a wife and mother.

Is it that hard to Infogalactic it?

Can't do my job without Wi-Fi, so, uh, yeah, as far as daily needs go, that definitely outranks sex. Wi-Fi = television for Millennials, so no surprise there.
"Is it that hard to Infogalactic it?"
Hmm... I think we need a better term for that. As much as I like and use Infogalactic, that's just hard to say, and unfortunately more difficult to say than the converged alternative it will replace
But the internet is where pretty people have sex

Ah, good catch. In my hasty reading I neglected to note Vox's use of the term "readers," the female regulars here of which most certainly do not usually snowflake (the occasional break-in by IB22 being the sole exception I can name).
A sincere apology is hereby tendered.
@Liberranter, you are responding to a SNOWFLAKE comment.
