A "rape" too far

It's always fascinating to discover where feminists draw their weird little lines. As one might expect, it's always at a point that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Redheaded Addiction wryly observes the recent outrage over the "rape" of Sansa Stark is a little strange considering Lord Bolton's previous actions:
    Ramsay: *violates Theon's trust*
    Ramsay: *violates Theon's body*
Ramsay: *violates Theon's sense of self*
Ramsay: *violates Theon emotionally with sexual overtones*
    Audience: *yawns*

    Ramsay: *violates Sansa sexually*
Audience: HOW DARE THEY THIS SHOW HAS GONE TOO FAR
Furthermore, where is the violation in the first place? Sansa consented to the marriage and it was duly consummated. She didn't say no at any point; she didn't even resist. True, Ramsay's insistence on having a witness was a little unusual, although hardly unheard of in medieval times.

"Testimony of witnesses at Catherine's later trial for divorce from Henry VIII described the Couple as escorted to their bedchamber, undressed, put to bed together and the curtains around the bed drawn, while the witnesses (male and female) waited the night in the room."

Let's face it, making Theon watch while he concluded the marital process isn't even in the top ten most sadistic things Ramsay Bolton has done on the show. And where was the outrage when Khal Drogo was sealing the deal on his marriage? Ah, but then, Khal Drogo is more attractive than Ramsay Bolton.

It's the Creepy vs. Hawt dichotomy.Men in the second group get away with almost anything. Too funny.

My wife and I had the misfortune of seeing a Switched at Birth episode where they 'tackled rape." A woman got drink with her ex boyfriend and had sex with him. Guilt ridden she confessed to her boyfriend. Then every one else convinced her that her nice sweet ex who doted in her has raped her.

Contrast that when she lost her virginity to an alpha bastard which disappeared the next day. But he was redeemed because the story line twist was he did it to protect her.

Emotional porn for women.

What makes your point even better is that feminists were outraged by Drogo's "marital rape" in the books but not a peep when the heartthrob on the show does it.

There has been outrage and tears over a fictional character than about the systemic rape, sexual slavery, and genocide of the Yazidis by ISIS.

How twisted do you have to be to shrug off real, live tragedy and give your heart to a fictional character in a story that has repeatedly shown rape, child rape, bestiality, and countless violent deaths? Disgusting people.

And nary a peep from the feminists and multikulists about the mass gang rapes of English girls by Islamic invaders.

1,400+ young White girls raped and the feminists have nothing to say about it.

Yep, this GoT 'scandal' demonstrates one underlying element of female psychology.
Women detest the idea of having sex with an undeserving or undesirable man.
Even when a 'nasty' instance happens to a fictional TV character.

Had Sansa been taken 50 Shades of Grey / romance novel style by a character the SJW retards approve of. There'd be no outcry.

Yet a female, even a fictional female, having to have sex with an undesirable man is clearly too much for them.

Feminists like when young blond girls are sold and raped by swarthy eastern nomads in game of thrones, and they like when it happens in real life.

If anything, it's the one thing they've been consistent about.

Bingo. And notice the other parallels between the two incidents

Forced into marriage by creepy nerd with rage issues. Check.
Sobbing and terrified. Check.
Publicly taken. Check.
Married to sadistic bloodthirsty psychopath. Check

(if anything, Ramsay might actually be somewhat MORE socially responsible than Khal "Genghis Khan" Drogo. He at least only tear apart people who cross him. Khal would wipe out entire villages for fun.)

I don't know, but it seems to be poor writing when you repeat the same thing over while adding absolutely nothing.

I think the outrage is based on two things, one - the audience has grown to love Sansa as a wounded bird. They never had the chance to do that with Daenerys. She just popped on the screen.

Two - Jason Momosa is obviously a great deal sexier than Iwan Rheon. Aside from the physical advantages, Iwan is a bit of a talker, plays too many schoolboy tricks. I am sure that he is also quite attractive to women in the dark triad way, but he is too much of a boy to Drogo's wild untamed savage man.

If you're up for some laughs, just search for Ramsey tags on Tumblr to witness the Ramsey fan girls struggle between their lust and their SJW inclinations. It's hilarious.

There was a recent episode of south park where they insinuated a rape joke involving Taylor Swift and Bill Cosby, where they sang that "rapey" Christmas song, and the feminist brigade freaked out, rape is never funny, blah blah blah. The episode JUST previous to that one featured a male child with Down's getting raped by a tranny. I guess since no women were involved, it wasn't really a bad rape.

I like what Milo tweeted about this. Something like, if you want to be upset over a fictitious rape, start with Rolling Stone.

@: rape is never funny, blah blah blah
________

Most of us agree actual rape is never funny.

It's also not funny when a man has his yang cut off or destroyed in a garbage disposal, but the gut busting laughter of women in the talk and feminist groups sure seems to make it out to be.

It's also not funny when a man falsely convicted of rape gets raped in prison.

It wasn't funny when Juanita Broaderick was credibly alleged to have been raped, but according to feminists she is the only woman to have ever lied about it.

Interesting.

Trust,
Any time someone tells me that rape is never funny, I remind them that one of the oldest and most accurate American jokes was, "don't drop the soap."

Which is exactly my point. They don't hate rape, they hate men.

I was hoping Theon would cock at least half a smile in that scene.

Despite all my exposure to the red pill and knowledge about rape fantasy, Fifty Shades, etc it never occurred to me that women (let alone SJW women) would lust after Ramsey. A savage barbarian like Khal Drogo, yes, but not a petty, twisted, uber-sadistic freak like Ramsey. Shaking my head at the latent destructive depravity which can be found in the female libido.

If an ugly/unsexy man has sex, it MUST be rape, right? Even if the guy is married to the woman with whom he has sex.

Female depravity is what Tumblr is all about

Khal drogo is attractive in the noble savage/Tarzan kind of way. The ladies who like call probably overlap significantly with the middle aged women who run off to. ramseyJamaica as sex tourists.
Ramsey gives off creepy stalker vibes and like the previous poster said, he talks too much. If he carried himself more likehis father the ladies might like him more. The actor who plays him is certainly good looking in his own right.

Trust said...

@ Ghost

I think you make a good point. This is apparent in a lot of areas.

In opposing male birth control, they cited the potential for men to lie about being on birth control and were appalled. They aren't appalled at women lying about birth control, and want cash and prizes.

Dalrock recently blogged about a man who wanted ownership of embryos he fathered. Women were offended that he was motivated by the allure of child support from the biological mother. They didn't seem to see the contradiction.

One could go on and on about the horror/humor of abuse, genital mutilation, and rape. It's funny when it hurts men. It's horror when a woman may even be the slightest big offended, let alone hurt.

Laguna Beach Fogey said...

The accent, creeper vibe, and scrunched-face look of the actor who plays Ramsey are major turn-offs, I would imagine.

On a totally unrelated note, saw the actor who plays Theon in Union Square in San Francisco last year. Random.

She loved it:

When asked by Entertainment Weekly about the scene in question, actress Sophie Turner (Sansa) said, “When I read that scene, I kinda loved it. I love the way Ramsay had Theon watching. It was all so messed up. It’s also so daunting for me to do it. I’ve been making [producer Bryan Cogman] feel so bad for writing that scene: ‘I can’t believe you’re doing this to me!’ But I secretly loved it.”

Yeah, so wasn't a hot blonde woman sold as a sex slave (essentially) early on?

But it's okay because she was hot and feminists hate attractive women.

Their outcry also leads to another question- how much do feminists actually value virginity despite claiming not to? Evidently enough to still see Sansa as an innocent rape victim despite her marrying a man whose family murdered her mother and brother (and whom she's conniving to eventually see killed), and also despite her bragging to his lover about being chosen over her. All the corruption, death, and intrigue she's witnessed, and yet in their minds she's still a girl with a v-card that got stolen and can never be replaced. Hmmm....

The only thing they value is whatever they think they can get outraged about. Outraged about someone losing her virginity. Outraged about someone not losing her virginity. Outraged about someone caring whether she was a virgin or not. Or, if need be, outraged at someone being outraged at someone caring about her virginity.

They have no memory of the past, no plan for the future, and frankly aren't making much use of the present.

I'm pretty sure only white conservative men take feminists seriously. Our last bit of white knighting, I say screw that, because I'm pretty sure the glorious people of color would just eat them bitches and I'm ok with that.

Danarys also later seduced Khal Drogo by getting on top of him cowgirl-style during sex, and then he fell in love with her and they had a warm and fuzzy love story. Ramsay is a creepy, grossly sadistic character and Sansa has no chance of redeeming him. Women can forgive any indignity, even rape, if they believe the female protagonist can "tame" the man into falling in love with her. A woman taming a dangerous (but cute!) alpha bad boy and turning him beta (but only for her!) is a classic female romantic fantasy, and televised rape only becomes "offensive" when it doesn't follow this fantasy.

Ha ha! There are plenty of 55+ yr. old, never-married women out there, working hard on becoming "born-again" virgins, so as to cover up their 100+ N number after years of riding the CC. Just try and touch them intimately and you'll find out!

Score.

It's telling that feminists think a fictional crime against a fictional woman is a more serious matter than a real-life man being incarcerated over a false allegation.

What I want to know is how a woman being subjected to sex on her wedding night is causing more outrage than a man in the same episode being threatened with removal of his penis and death? I mean, there is such a thing as a "cock merchant" in this fantasy world. But these crazy feminists are up in arms about a woman being roughly penetrated on her wedding night. Sansa made a lot of decisions that she is responsible for, including turning away help when it was offered from Brienne and agreeing to marry a monster in the first place. What did she expect? Hearts and flowers from Ramsay Bolton? Plus, it is a work of FiCTION. Feminists make me embarrassed to be female.
