“WOW. Did I vastly underestimate women’s need to see ‘imperfect’ bodies just doing regular, human stuff,” Trout wrote in a follow-up to her original piece, which ran in longer form on the Huffington Post over the holiday weekend. “Not only am I getting messages going, ‘You’re helping me with my personal stuff,’ but the support I’m getting is overwhelming.… Obviously, that’s not why I posted the article, it’s a broader social commentary (the point of which was that it doesn’t matter how you look, you’re still entitled to wear whatever you want and be comfortable doing it), but the fact that I’ve received more of those messages than negative ones makes me really hopeful for the future of fat people.”This is like a bunch of unemployed male slobs celebrating each other's slovenly laziness. They can celebrate it all they like. They can empower themselves by posting pictures on Facebook. And it's not going to make a single woman more attracted to any of them.
I think it's fine for a fat woman to wear a bikini if she wants to. I mean, she might run the risk of getting harpooned by a passing whaler, but as long as she's not doing it in the vicinity of any Japanese or Norwegian ships, she should be safe enough.
It's not men who care if fat women wear bikinis or not. We're not horrified, for the most part, we think it's funny. It's other women who make a big deal of it anyhow. I hope the future of fat people is fat, dumb, and happy, that's certainly to be preferred to seeing them weeping pathetically over their extra-large bags of Doritos.

Uncle Bob over at the Tree House said it best. Women are socialists and fascists by nature so the use and abuse of propaganda comes naturally to them. For women, what they believe will almost always trump what they know. They have no interest in objectivity and will actively refuse to educate themselves. (Males suffer from it too, but again, most of them will be fascists or fascists posing as socialists too).
I find the use of the word "entitled" in the quote very interesting. "Entitled" could mean "you can't legally stop me" or it could mean "you owe this to me."
People seem to use the word more and more to say "I can force this on you because I have a right." Like "I'm entitled to my opinion" means I can say it whether you like it or not. There is a confusion between legal rights and what's appropriate or fitting.
About the support? All you have to realize is that women are more viciously competitive than men. Their methods are obtuse, sneaky, terrible, and vengeful. When a woman tells another woman to "just go, girl", she means, sure, you walk out into the firing line, I'll stay here and cheer. Videotape it, and send it to everyone you know, especially those who hate you too. But, you go, girl!
Men are finally realizing that anything a woman tells him that makes him more attractive is usually exactly opposite of what really turns her on. Is that logical, or even on the conscious level? I have to think some of it is. So, why would a fat woman take support from other women? They, of all people, should know better. Poster children are usually run up the flag, only to be burned, more so by women than any other group.
And, no. I won't go look at a fat woman in a bikini. I assume that is what the link would lead too. I just showered. Further, I have no means of washing some visuals from my eyeballs. I, for one, don't approve or think it's funny. I think it's sad. And... gross. I know I would visualize a snout, and that might make it funny, but not without the pain of seeing self abasement at the basement floor.
As we've seen in the progression of homosexual rights, "entitled to do X" means "entitled to do X and be applauded for it by everyone in the vicinity." Not sure how they're going to enforce that, but that's where they think they're headed. I suppose they'll try to make rejecting a fat girl for a date the equivalent of rejecting a black person for a job or refusing to bake a cake for some homos, but we'll see.
I just appreciate her accidental confirmation of something I've been saying for a while: female ugliness is mostly about being overweight. Any girl, unless her face is really deformed, can make herself attractive enough to many men by keeping fit and doing a few basic things like taking care of her hair and skin. But the main thing is fat; fat destroys a pretty face and makes her personality and other beauty skills irrelevant.

Isn't it the other way around? if confidence is king, and if these guys are all high fiving each other and feeling 100% about how disgusting and vile they are, shouldn't that actually help them get girls?
I think the problem is that the girls think that what they find attractive in men, delusional confidence, they think men find attractive in women.
I actually am horrified when I see obese people, and women in particular. At least many of the men have the decency to tap out with a heart attack. These female hippopotamuses are a 20 year commitment to dialysis, thyroidism, cardiovascual disease, and a whole host of other treatments. And of course, nobody bothers to charge them for their lifestyle so that people that have some modicum of self control end up footing the bill for their gluttony.
Isn't it the other way around?
No. It's not going to work for either side. Don't be an aspie.
Fat acceptance seems to have gained ground, at least among younger men. My stepson's girlfriends have mostly been fatter than I would have any interest in, and none of them had any trouble finding guys to cheat on him with.
Fat people are offensive. It's not just that they're grotesque, but also that they appear to not give a shit about being grotesque.
On any weekend at the beach my crew and I spot innumerable fat women in bikinis, most of whom appear to be white trash and Mexican, lounging around on the sand like so many elephant seals.
In a normal society, there would be specific fines and regulations directed against fatties. Actually, in a normal society, there wouldn't be so many fatties.
Fat people are the outwards signs [among many] of civilizational decline.
"We're not horrified, for the most part, we think it's funny. It's other women who make a big deal of it anyhow"
This is quite true. Most men are actually very kind and forgiving about our flaws, in comparison to the judgments of other women and our own selves, that is. Women are indeed, "horrified" and quite vicious about it, and will then try to project their own nastiness onto men, as if it were men making us all feel bad about ourselves all along. In truth, we seldom face anything comparable to that kind of rejection from men.
It's really women who objectify other women, because when they size us up, they perceive sexual competition and little else of value. In my experience, men will look and either find you appealing or not, file you in the proper category, and than continue the conversation.
Women can be pretty nasty to other women. Behind that fat acceptance meme and also the false choice between being smart or being attractive, is that never ending sexual competitiveness that seeks to nix out the competition. The idea that if you're smart, you'll embrace your unattractiveness, just boggles my mind, because it's so sexually transparent and yet so effective.
HA! This cow is "proud" but still uses the most flattering angle to take her pic!
I think it's disgusting. I know what my own excess weight feels like and I'm only 200 @ 5'10". I cannot imagine what it feels like to possess a 300lb body at my height.
The sad part is that it's very unhealthy. They know it and thus they're helping other kill themselves faster and live miserable lives.
How... typical.
Not only is she wearing a bikini here in Michigan during what has been a unusually chilly year, she's wearing it in Copper Harbor, basically the northernmost point of the Upper Peninsula on the deepest and coldest of the Great Lakes. If you look at the pic, she's standing on gravel, not sand, and her original article from June 30th about the experience says that "since it was a balmy fifty degrees Fahrenheit outside, swimming was not an option."
Look at that hair color too- "peacocking" for plain-looking women. At least it's more original that those artificial orange-red and burgundy dye jobs I see all the time.
For all we know, she and her photographer were the only ones on that "beach"...with that kind of temperature it wouldn't hurt to have a little blubber too. But "you go girl"- flaunt it even if you don't got it. She's smart enough to know that she only had to upload a carefully-selected photo or two before members of other pods will start calling her a hero.
We men love fat chicks here at AG. That's why we all married women. Oh wait, we didn't.
Tall, lean women are the way to go.
Women disqualify men based on a plethora of criteria without a second thought, including superficial criteria. This includes obese women, though they can't afford to be quite as picky. So no man should ever feel guilt or shame about being unnattracted to women who are carrying more than just a couple extra pounds. "You had one job!" as they say. Wouldn't recommend using the line "I just don't see you that way" on fatties though, no matter how many times they may have used it themselves during their younger, skinnier years when dealing with unwanted advances from men.
So if the skinny woman gives you a boner you're "objectifying her" and you're a "potential rapist', but if the fat or old woman doesn't give you a boner then you're a "shallow lookist" who needs to grow up. Yeah, that sounds fair...
@Retrenched and that's why, instead of trying to win their silly little game, you don't play it to begin with.
OT but I hope you write about this VD: http://theconcourse.deadspin.com/pouty-husband-sends-wife-spreadsheet-detailing-sex-life-1607350830/
Saw a 15-16 yo girl in a parking lot yesterday with her mother and younger sibling. Girl is 5'7"-5'8" and easily 30 lbs overweight. She is wearing denim shorts that look like a couple of rags stitched together and her already cottage-cheesy ass is hanging out in a most unappealing way. I blame her mother both for the weight and the shorts. Kinda disappointed in myself for not yelling out, "Hey, fatass put some decent pants on!" which occurred to me, but which is probably some kind of hate crime with a child abuse rap on top.
Ugh....just followed the link to her pic. There is something horrendously disgusting about a big fat pig of a woman pretending to bd confident, but anyone with a brain can see it's a big sham.

Easily explained. There are a lot of thirsty omegas and gammas who will gladly mount these slutty cows. The sluttiest ho-bags around that I know of also tend to be overweight.
Also, I suspect that gammas and fat chicks are natural counterparts of each other: both tend to be disgustingly feminist/PC, and both delude themselves into thinking they're more attractive than they really are, when healthy members of the opposite sex just think they're disgusting.
Women can be pretty nasty to other women. Behind that fat acceptance meme and also the false choice between being smart or being attractive, is that never ending sexual competitiveness that seeks to nix out the competition.
If you think about it, when women encourage each other to cut their hair short gushing how "cute" it looks, or say they look marvelous when they have 100 lbs too much fat, women are also being nasty to women, only in a different way.
"So no man should ever feel guilt or shame about being unnattracted to women who are carrying more than just a couple extra pounds"
I'm surprised to discover that some men do feel guilt and shame about physical attraction. Nobody should feel ashamed about innate biological characteristics that were deliberately built into us. Acting on them may be a different matter, but the fact that they exist is something to celebrate, not feel bad about.
On this end I can honestly tell you I've never felt "objectified" by men. Again, I think we've got a kind of Miley Cyrus projection going on, where women are objectifying their own selves and blaming men for watching the train wreck.
Fat acceptance is nothing more than women filtering out competition from other women. It not only makes them unattractive to most men, but also unhealthy.
The elimination of shame in our society has been one of our biggest mistakes. That and holding off marrying women until they are in their late 20s, early 30s. If they don't have any cats already.
Via article "As a society, we need to be more honest in our discussions of others' bodies"
I think more honesty is not what she wants like "You're a piggy piggy."
We are most polite by ignoring the mounds of flesh we constantly encounter whether clothed (preferred) or unclothed. Worst is fat people wearing tights like that's attractive.
My stepson's girlfriends have mostly been fatter than I would have any interest in, and none of them had any trouble finding guys to cheat on him with.
I have seen this too. It is truly bizarre in my view.
The elimination of shame in our society has been one of our biggest mistakes.
It is not eliminated. It has just been transferred to the things the Left thinks are "bad". If you are a racist, sexist, homophobe, Islamophobe, nativist, or whatever, you will most definitely be the object of severe public shaming - and possibly also loss of employment and social ostracism (the things that used to be the consequence for sexual misbehavior).
It strikes me that maybe, just maybe, the right tack to take here is to simply note that carrying 100 lbs of extra weight, as this woman appears to be doing, is simply brutal on the heart, pancreas, knees, ankles, feet, kidneys, back, hips, and more. Plus, it's not too hot for beauty, either.
I've rarely met people with back, knee, and other problems like that who weren't carrying a lot of extra weight. It adds up.
I dunno, but I thought a bikini was supposed to be small?
"And there's another person who's impressed with Trout's work: her husband. He's "proud of my success with this piece," she notes. "He's also very conscious of how stress, even good stress, can overwhelm me, so he's been really great."
Just in case you were wondering how Jenny reciprocates with her caring, sharing gamma dweeb of a husband (who, of course, is thin), here's Jenny treating him like a dog.....literally.

What's the difference between an obese chick on the beach wearing a bikini, and a walrus sunning on the shore??
One's cute and playful, while the other one thinks getting a tan will make her attractive.

If your production run is 10 units, being sold out isn't exactly an achievement.
By the way, Pirran, how does your link challenge my assertion in any way?
Perhaps they believe that men are conditioned to find slim and fit women attractive and they're trying to condition men to be the opposite in order to improve their situation?
