As I have repeatedly pointed out, equality is a myth. It is no more real than a unicorn. Those who appeal to it are simply engaging in meaningless rhetoric. And we have absolute proof that the feminist appeal to equality was never anything more than a means of guilt-tripping men into giving them power that they would promptly use
to establish pro-female inequality.
The latest trend in dining all over the world including Dubai, Las Vegas, London and Zhengzhou, China is women-only restaurants, where men are not allowed. What may seem like an unfairly exclusive establishment (especially if it was the other way around) has become the norm in various cities around the world, as steakhouses and beer-tasting clubs in London are mainly female-oriented.
The latest eatery to cater to the fair sex is set to open next month in London’s Soho area, as The London Evening Standard reports that Sofakingcool on Frith Street will reopen as KC’z Bar on February 1st as a women’s-only restaurant.
It sounds like a joke, doesn't it, in light of the way women have methodically gone about destroying men's clubs.
But it isn't:
‘Many women want to be around other women they can socialise and network with while having fun,’ explains Gates. ‘A lot of them will be lesbians, if you want to focus on that, but certainly not all of them. I envisage all different types of women coming in, from athletes to creative individuals.’ Gates also emphasises that, although men will be allowed in on designated nights, she wants to create a ‘safe zone’ for women to go where they won’t be seen by or bothered by men.
There is the "equality" for which feminists have been fighting: the chance for lesbians to get the straight girls to themselves.

As an example, in the city I live (Lund, southern Sweden) we have a womens only gym. Supposedly I live in the Afghanistan for equality yet this exists, always find that to be funny (though, I don't really mind, it's just the incoherence that's weird).

Absolutely right. This can be said about granting power to non-Whites and non-Christians, as well.

How does this not violate about a thousand state and federal anti-sex discrimination statutes pertaining to places of public accommodation?
Oh well, I'm sure the legal eagles have found ways around that for the womenfolk.
Someone need to sue the folks in LV just for the fun of it. Anyone out there willing too? I'm sure we can find people who have been refused a table due to sex.
The only way you get around those anti sex discrim statutes is to make your place a private club, with all the indicia: It's closed to the public; it's not a place of public accommodation; there's a membership roster; you charge a fee for membership; there's an application process (however perfunctory).

It's too bad, really. If only women (note the plural) were capable of defending freedom of association instead of forcing barbarism on the civilized we would be able to maintain X-only businesses without any fuss.

A gay gene would be a sure fire way to recruit some pro-life leftists.
Some of the restaurants mentioned (like the Las Vegas ones) don't seem to have actually excluded men.
SHe (now closed) featured lady-sized steaks at inflated prices, was marketed to women, and featured decor appealing to women. Men were still allowed to eat there. So really, I don't think it is much different than a sports bar or something that caters to "male interests".
I think the laws of economics are going to prove his li'l experiment to be untenable over the long run. Of course when it crashes and burns, its creators (or would be creatrices?) will no doubt find some way to blame men, as well as find some way to force men to pick up the costs of the failure.
When women say equality, they mean more options for women and more obligations for men.
When faced with actual equality, they do not like it.

I imagine wait-staff turnover in these establishments is really high, because one thing that's constant is that women, as a whole, are lousy tippers (the exception being women who have worked as a bartender or waitress - and I think they do it more out of not wanting to appear as uncouth as their "sisters" more than a sense of paying money earned for services provided).
I don't see this as working out well in the long run. It probably seems cyncial but would women go to a restaurant or bar where it's guaranteed that she has to pay vs. one where she at least has the possibility of a man paying?
These will probably attract customers as a novelty at first but I'm pretty sure that over time 'women only' business days will be in the minority.

This is what I've been getting at all along. Other than on the internet, I only know a handful of people who agree with me.
There aren't enough lesbians to support the joints, and straight women figure it out and vacate quickly. The places don't last. Put up a men's only club and that will last forever, of it's own accord. Men can deal with not having women around. Though, if we must suffer them, they need to be in bunny suits, and look good in them... and out of them.
