Don't defend the guilty

At Alpha Game, we rightly focus on the evils that women do because our mainstream media culture is resolutely anti-male. But that same anti-male culture isn't above suddenly giving certain men a pass when it suits them, men such as accused child molester Woody Allen.

It's a little harder to dismiss the accusations as Mia Farrow's bitterness at her betrayal, as some did, when those accusations are being made directly and publicly by her daughter:
[W]hen I was seven years old, Woody Allen took me by the hand and led me into a dim, closet-like attic on the second floor of our house. He told me to lay on my stomach and play with my brother’s electric train set. Then he sexually assaulted me. He talked to me while he did it, whispering that I was a good girl, that this was our secret, promising that we’d go to Paris and I’d be a star in his movies. I remember staring at that toy train, focusing on it as it traveled in its circle around the attic. To this day, I find it difficult to look at toy trains....

For as long as I could remember, my father had been doing things to me that I didn’t like. I didn’t like how often he would take me away from my mom, siblings and friends to be alone with him. I didn’t like it when he would stick his thumb in my mouth. I didn’t like it when I had to get in bed with him under the sheets when he was in his underwear. I didn’t like it when he would place his head in my naked lap and breathe in and breathe out. I would hide under beds or lock myself in the bathroom to avoid these encounters, but he always found me. These things happened so often, so routinely, so skillfully hidden from a mother that would have protected me had she known, that I thought it was normal. I thought this was how fathers doted on their daughters. But what he did to me in the attic felt different. I couldn’t keep the secret anymore.
It's important to not get so caught up in defending men that we forget that some men are truly the monsters that the feminists attempt to portray us all as being. Indeed, it is important that we police our own ranks, if only to avoid handing them an easy and effective rhetorical weapon with which to hammer us.

This doesn't prove that Woody Allen did it, but his sexually obsessed, neurotic career, and his behavior with Mia Farrow's adopted daughter does tend to lend credence to the charges.

Speaking of pure evil, here's a loathsome person: http://thoughtcatalog.com/amy-glass/2014/01/i-look-down-on-young-women-with-husbands-and-kids-and-im-not-sorry/#rgE3i0Z5XsVYHtPi.01

And I say that as a childfree, professional woman.

I don't know... How down does he look on them? Like, closer to 20 or 45 degrees down?

I'm just wondering if my smelling salts will suffice, or if I'll need something stronger.

What truly amazes me is that feminists will often claim that men are monsters who prey on women. Yet they need the help of men to suppress them. If you are a man and are accused of being a monster by a feminist, agree and amplify. Say that you are and that she probably shouldn't being trying to poke a monster who has thus far shown considerable restraint.

As for Woody Allen, I don't know if Dylan's accusations are true. But given his movie career and his immorality in the past, being a child molester is, sadly, not a stretch for him.

Allen is a cretin, but these allegations aren't very believable. What does it even mean to "sexually assault" a 7 year old? Did Human Resources issue a warning? How many pedophiles stick their thumb in kids' mouth, but never get their cocks out? Sounds like she just found the guy repulsive, which is natural. That the letter makes a point of shielding Farrow from blame (and in cases of abuse the other parent is always partially to blame) indicates an identification with Farrow, or maybe Farrow helped draft the letter herself

It will be difficult if not impossible to determine if the charges against Woody Allen are true, or not.

Look at it from a different perspective. Knowing what you know, would you give him unrestricted access to your female children? Would you associate with him socially?

It's one thing when a women thinks a man is a creeper. In that case the man may very well be a decent human being that she just finds unattractive. When men think a man is a creeper chances are he is a creeper.

Looks like a creep, sounds like a creep, acts like a creep.

Even when I was very young at prep school I could never understand the enthusiasm for this guy among some of trendy contemporaries.

Jews and hipsters love him--which is reason enough for me to loathe him.

I'm glad I never "got" Woody Allen. Just hearing people talk about his movies was enough to turn me off, like, "Hey, wanna spend two hours watching 'banter' between the kind of people who have their therapists on speed dial and think every important event in human history took place in New York City?"

There seems to be a strong dividing line between people who watch Woody Allen movies and people who watch everything else. I don't think Netflix has ever recommended one of his movies to me, and it goes pretty far afield sometimes. It's like it knows: you like sports movies, or mysteries, or wacky comedies, or sci-fi, or cartoons, or thrillers, or spy flicks, or family fare? Then you won't like Woody Allen movies; the only people who like Woody Allen movies are people who like Woody Allen movies.

Not that loathing his genre makes me a better person than those who like his movies, but it probably means I wouldn't want to spend an evening with any of them. Of course, the interesting thing is how the same people who think Mel Gibson should be drawn and quartered will continue to shrug off Allen's crimes, precisely because he's a useful soldier in the war against civilization.

They likely are. After the fingering incident he returned the girl to her mother sans underwear, something he couldn't explain.

I'm amazed people do things like this. I get there are people who are bent, sexually, but we all have urges we don't indulge. Just from a purely practical standpoint you'd think he wouldn't do things that were guaranteed to come to light.

The paradox here is that while the Left portrays all men as monsters, they routinely excuse, defend and even reward the few ACTUAL monsters among us. Roman Polanski, Mumia, Che Guevara, etc. Closer to home, Bill Clinton is still a media darling, despite having been hounded by one sexual assault accusation after another since his college days.

It's similar to Roissy's observation that an alpha can get away with the most grievous sins while a beta is crucified for the slightest infractions.

"...so skillfully hidden from a mother that would have protected me had she known..."

It wouldn't be the first time that a mother has deliberately looked aside and purposely "not known" of such things happening.

Lol.

Btw, I never watched a single movie of him. What kind of movies does he make?

If you like movies with witty banter, as I do on occasion, you might like the films of Whit Stillman, the "WASP Woody Allen" as he's been described, although, from what I gather, this label refers only to his movie-making skills and not any child-molesting or clarinet-playing proclivities.

Very amusing movies. 'Last Days of Disco' is a favourite.

Not a big Woody Allen fan, but this article casts a huge pall of doubt over these accusations. Maybe he is guilty, maybe not. This article gives me pause in the rush to judgement...http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/01/27/the-woody-allen-allegations-not-so-fast.html

I personally know a man who mysteriously became a child.molester when his wife wanted custody and miraculously wasnt one a few years later when the relationship was mended

Grist for another column: 37 year old woman writes about her seeking a man with "edge", and belatedly realizes she really wanted a beta provider. Or something.

She's probably dyslexic, she wanted a man with wedge.

I am amazed at the number of people who defend or attack "Little Woody" based on what they think of his movies instead of the only thing that really matters: Evidence.

Oh... wait. there is no evidence. Just a pattern of past misbehavior. And since we all accept state recognized gay "marriage" now, we can't even call him a pervert.

Read this article by a female Toronto Star columnist. Her solution to a lack of evidence? Evidence be damned! Would you rather be right or happy?
