I took up space, used my sexuality as a tool, and demanded attention. These were the survival skills that I had learned to harness as a ticket out. And these are the very same skills that have allowed me to succeed professionally and get access to tremendous privilege. I have paid a price for some of the games that I have played, but I can’t deny that I’ve gained a lot in the process.The remarkable thing isn't that SJWs engage in these reprehensible behaviors. It's that so few of them are able to understand why the very people they are attacking, and whose lives they are attempting to destroy, could possibly object to them doing so.
I have also come to understand that my survival strategies were completely infuriating to many geeky white boys that I encountered in tech. Many guys saw me as getting ahead because I was a token woman. I was accused of sleeping my way to the top on plenty of occasions. I wasn’t simply seen as an alpha — I was seen as the kind of girl that screwed boys over. And because I was working on diversity and inclusion projects in computer science to attract more women and minorities as the field, I was seen as being the architect of excluding white men.

They are just like cops - they can't understand why they earn the hate. To them, screwing people over, particularly a target group, is as natural and justifiable as breathing. They, and the cops, have no conscience or soul. Yeah, yeah, I know "they are not all like that" but enough of them are to make the generalization valid.
Skimming through that article, she almost sees that everything she believes is fundamentally wrong, but can't break away from her proglodyte fantasies. She also uses the telling construction "I was seen"; she did a lot of shit, and knows it, but still demonstrates the universal human aversion to admitting "I was wrong."

What she tries to call privilege is the result of years of hard work by the geeky people she calls betas. These are people who have been picked because of their expertise created by hard work. Hard work that many of their contemporaries failed to produce...so they're not picked up by the silicon valley companies...invisible. These men have staked their futures and social status on this ability. The term beta comes up because these men are aware about their lack of ability with women. Work status is the only thing they have for that, and doesn't care about taking it away from them.
In college, the author was a brash woman using sex as a tool to get ahead who had the audacity to say these men's effort should effectively be meaningless. The men didn't attack her out of not seeing their privilege...they attacked her to protect their own societal value.

Sometimes I'm not sure if it's a victory for SJWs to have Vox read this kind of crap. That being said, the tech field is one place where the advancement of someone who does nothing technical is ridiculous. She is bringing literally nothing to the field and can't see why that's detrimental. She has no respect, at all, for geeky white boys, and describes her employment as survival. I read Cantwell's warning about his crazy ex. I believe this makes 6 aborted children by multiple women for him now. It's difficult to have sympathy for a man with such persistently piss poor judgement. Yes, warn the world about this crazy slut but he is the one choosing to screw these kinds of women without a condom.
