Forget innocence

Never having interacted with a woman is no defense against a false rape charge:
An award-winning actress appearing in the upcoming sixth season of Game of Thrones has been outed as the woman who falsely accused Mark Pearson of rape after he walked past her. Souad Faress claimed that Pearson digitally penetrated her, violating her inside her underwear, for several seconds in the middle of Waterloo Station in London.

Despite video evidence showing the male artist had a newspaper in one hand and was holding the strap of his backpack in the other, he was tracked down using his electronic public transportation card and charged. Furthermore, Pearson was in range of sexagenarian Faress’ body, let alone her genitals, for no more than about half a second. In January 2015, police appealed for help (archive) in finding the then 66-year-old’s “attacker”. At this stage, Mr. Pearson’s image began to circulate in the public domain.

Yet it gets worse. Faress, to try and bolster her fraudulent account, said she screamed and no one helped her. CCTV footage conclusively disproved this. To boot, Pearson did not break stride, discrediting her other claim that he smashed into her shoulder. Most shockingly of all, the lying thespian could not even point him out in an “identity parade.” That did not stop the Crown Prosecution Service from prosecuting Pearson until its representatives were rebuked by the judge and a jury quickly exonerated him.
Not all women are absolutely fucking insane, but enough of them are that it behooves a man to limit his interactions with them. And the moment that you detect feminism, SJWsm, or any other form of frothing-mad lunacy, that should be your cue to eject from the situation posthaste.

And no prosecution of Ms Faress? No civil liability? I thought the UK had very different standards for what constituted libel/slander.

As a man, how do you protect yourself from that? He had literally zero interaction with her! And yet she hasn't been charged with anything for this false and repulsive lie, while his name has been dragged though the mud.

This makes me afraid for my men: husband, son, dad, brothers.

@Happy Housewife

As a man I appreciate your sympathy.

If she's a feminist, don't have sex with her

If she's on meds, don't find yourself in the same room alone with her

If she shows signs of mental illness, cut off all contact with her

If she mentions being raped in casual conversation, evacuate the premises through the nearest window

Better to be safe. Plenty of sane chicks out there. I'm not living under a false name in Mexico right now because of sheer luck. One of the most memorable moments of my life was picking up a total (but hot) nutjob who turned out to be an heiress living in a certain historic east coast hotel. Once I sobered up I realized how crazy she was, so I bounced before sunrise with half a bottle of her $150 scotch in hand. Heard from my friend who was with me that night that she accused me of rape, spent the rest of the day dodging the cops and getting out of town before hearing that the charges were dropped. Her friends saw how, ah, willing she was in the bar I met her at and vouched for me. Thank god for that.

They do but statements made to the police can not attract civil defamation liability. The CPS (their prosecutor) is supposed to screen for bad cases. Here they clearly did not. The only avenue open for Mr. Pearson is to start a private prosecution of Faress which would cost about GBP 150,000. Of course the CPS can theoretically take over a private prosecution at any time and then fail to pursue it further, which given their incompetency here, they might just do to try to avoid further embarrassment.

The one way that Pearson could actually bring a case is if Faress were to comment on the situation publicly. To that end, I think a campaign that targets the Game of Thrones franchise (and all other places where Ms. Faress works) should be initiated to either have Faress comment on the allegations or tie up GOT in constant issues with Ms. Faress. Eventually she will either have to answer the criticism publically and allow Pearson to bring a defamation claim or she will never work again.

Just a thought.

If Mr Pearson does not press charges against the Crown Prosecution services for the British equivalent of cruel and unusual punishment, I will quit my job as a physician and return to law school and do it on his behalf pro bono. An example needs to be made of this woman and of the CPS in this particular case. I cannot fathom a more absurdist series of events coming down the pike that could possibly better illustrate the outright war on men. If we do not use this case to bring light to the injustices being committed against men, then shame on us. I have posted an article about this case and the "woman's" name on my FB page and faced a lot of criticism from friends about this woman's right to privacy. Those people were immediately unfriended and hopefully they won't turn me into the FBestapo for violating one of their policies and procedures. But then again it certainly wouldn't be the end of the world not to have FB in my life as I rarely use it to begin with and when I do it is usually just to spread the message of everyday sexism against men.

One in four men will be falsely accused of sexual assault.

Think about that: your father, your brothers, your sons.

One in four. Think about it.

I recall a corporate lawyer explaining how to establish a memorable scene exiting a room where anyone began a conversation about price fixing and anti-competitive collusion. She said the best thing to do is make sure everyone present recalls that you stood up and left by standing up, saying loudly "I cannot be a part of this conversation" and leave memorably; the poster child for "memorable" is to run over the water cooler or similar-sized obstacle on the way to the door.

Apparently in the UK even this would not suffice to prevent prosecution, given that video evidence no crime occurred was insufficient.

It seems all those cameras in the UK are not there for your safety after all.

Didn't know this detail.

By the way, she's what, Persian? Naturalized or to the UK or no, that's going to factor into the victim formulas. For all we know the bureaucrats compared at the expense of an investigation/trial to the risk of her throwing a fit and picked the smaller number.

@ Praetorian,

I don't think you realize how funny your comment is. The next time I hear some person say, "1 in 4 women is sexually assaulted blah blah blah..." I'll reply with your "1 in 4 men is falsely accused of sexual assault..." Funny.

Imagine if women who made deliberately and callously false rape accusations were punished by being sentenced to suffer the real thing. Would that do anything to deter their sisters from continuing to indulge in this reprehensible behavior?

How do you "limit interaction with them" if all it takes to get charged is to walk past them in public? How can you avoid doing that???

A century ago Mr Pearson would be strung up until his life ceased, now lynching consist of taking his life away figuratively.

Purdah in Pakistan seems to do the trick quite nicely. Saudi Arabia's restrictions on women's movements also seem to work quite well. Saudi and Pakistani women are no doubt infinitely more civilized even without these restrictions, which would seem to provide an ironclad justification for imposing them on feral western women.

False accusations against males are Standard Procedure in new tranceformed Amerika, and by no means are limited to sexual contexts. It's big business and it also empowers the correct gender, so it ain't going away. The only cure is to investigate and arrest every false accuser, whether in sexual context or otherwise, and give the accuser the sentence that she expected to be imposed upon her target. In a real jail, not a 'female prison'. Course that's not gonna happen in an emasculated gynarchy like the US.

@Frenchy ;) I was hoping that folks would pick up on that.

Vox, I would like to request a discussion around how the various ilk handle the current socio-sexual environment with respect to their sons. With all the noise around waiting until 30+, avoiding women altogether, the addictiveness of pron (I think this is true, but haven't seen a convincing study yet) and so on, it is very difficult (for me anyway) to put together a coherent and realistic strategy for them.

Guys, she's a thespian. The show never ends! And she's in Game of Thrones, so in her mind-world someone is getting raped or brutally tortured every 3 pages or 15 minutes of film. She was probably trying to come up with a new way to be raped. Don't be surprised if next season her character bumps into a knight who sticks the pommel of his sword in her old coot for 3 seconds before beheading her with his blade. It's art for art's sake and all that.

The "British" policewoman who believed the ridiculous story and tried to destroy that poor Englishman's life was another nutcase Muslim, Suleman Yazdani.

Rest assured, Yazdani still believes the infidel dog Crusader (aka the poor English dude) committed the crime.

Taking a civil service job is grounds for that anyway. When they report to work the first day, I believe the front door handle should open a trapdoor under their feet, leading to a spiked pit.

My reputation among coworkers and customers is what saved me, but YMMV. Also they realized they needed me back to do all the work.

There's a non-negligible segment of parallel universes where I'm getting raped in federal prison right now.

If they want a quota on rape cases, how about they start with all the immigrants in Rotherdam? Oh that's right, those were all Muslims and the local authorities didn't want to be called racist. Better to go after a white guy.

Not all women are absolutely ... insane fucking or not.
Yet the safest assumption is they are batshit crazy vampires that desire your death until proven otherwise.
In most cases, the problem is how to establish a proper Christian family with the Mother homeschooling while the wife/mother is either in the background or intermittently batshit crazy.
Men can handle most problems if they can correctly identify them, but Women tend to obfuscate or switch.
Men, assume your (potential or actual) spouse is a few feet from the edge of insanity and easily will go over the edge and act appropriately. If she is totally good, rational, and sane, either she is a black widow, or the real thing and you should thank God.

This has nothing to do with race or religion, feminism or misandry. A fading bit-part actress seemingly wanted attention. Perhaps she hoped, if her victim were convicted, that she could waive her anonymity and sell stories about being a brave survivor of sexual assault. Perhaps one should pity her, although I do not.

The Crown Prosecution Service has the nickname "Criminals' Protection Service". Perhaps it deserves that.
