Sexting is for suckers

One shouldn't have to spell this out, but do not EVER engage in sexting of any kind, because you might as well go directly to pursuing employment as a camboy. At least that way, you get paid for it rather than paying for the privilege:
The alleged boss of a blackmail 'Sextortion' gang has revealed how she tricks 'stupid' men into stripping off via webcam - and revealed the vile secrets of her trade.

'Queen of Sextortion' Maria Caparas-Regalachuelo, who is accused of using girls as young as 13, boasted that it takes just 30 minutes to trick western men into getting naked then performing a sex act via Skype. Her gang is blamed for the suicide of 17-year-old Daniel Perry who leapt to his death in Scotland in August 2013 after being told by his online tormentors he would be 'better off dead'.

Speaking in a squalid Philippines prison cell, Caparas revealed that her gang of 'chatters' trawl Facebook for victims, sending men flirtatious messages before asking them to go 'somewhere private'. They show the men a pre-recorded video of an Asian woman performing a striptease and then send them a stream of filthy text messages.

'We tease them to get them comfortable and we work to a prepared text. It only takes about 30 minutes of chat before they are persuaded to do things in front of camera. They nearly always pay up after we put the video on YouTube.'

The 'chatter' then captures the victim performing a sex act on camera and uploads the video to an unlisted YouTube page. The chatter's boss then gets in touch with the victim and threatens to send the link to the video to family and friends via Facebook if they do not pay blackmail demands.
If it's too good to be true, it always is. Don't be a moron.

From phishing to Ashley Madison and hookup apps to this OP, it's simply astonishing to see how systems arose to leverage the pathological openness and pathological trust associated with a once-in-300-years manic high in social mood.

Raising kids since the dawn of the Internet required the realization that the seediest, sleaziest and most degraded cesspools of the human mind were always "one click away" from your home. It was like having a Star Trek teleporter in your kid's bedroom (or now, pocket.) How many realize this?

Future Shock, indeed. The hereditary Human Operating System of our individual minds is radically unprepared and grossly unequipped to navigate the technological products of worldwide cooperation. It's analogous to the individual sickness arising from the accumulated pollution of a vast city.

BTW, materials currently available to "Club EWI" members at elliottwave.com go into some detail about the changing collective perception of technology in general and the Internet in specific. Seventeen years ago the Internet was discussed in universally glowing terms; now, people discuss more of the risks and dangers.

It is far from impossible that when the Phase Change occurs, people will individually or collectively reject, tune out or turn off much of what we now consider a daily if not hourly necessity. The Internet may come to be viewed as an irredeemably malevolent medium.

The TPTB are aware of this possibility..hence the rabid push for a cashless society. With that in place the extraction from our virtual world will be that much harder.

D.C. You raise valid points and I agree with you, but so many parents just don't care. Or they care but figure they can't stop the flow of info from the internet into their kids minds, so why bother?

Sometimes when I talk to people I think they just cross their fingers and hope their kids will mature enough to "get it" and not be hurt by the stuff they see and hear.

A phone salesman recently tried to sell me on the idea of a phone for my eight year old. Oh, it was restricted to just a few calls, no internet, etc., but clearly designed to hook them young. My kids don't go anywhere they would need a phone anyway. I'm with them most of the time, or they're with another trusted adult.

I wonder if I'm an exception nowadays.

Back in 2006, after my ex-wife moved to Florida with my 14 year old daughter, I complained to them both about the selfies my daughter and her girlfriends were now posting on her myspace. The girls were always clothed, of course, but the tops they wore were only acceptably modest if viewed from the front, NOT FROM THE TOP!! Holding their phones above their heads and smiling into Narcissus' Pool, these young teens seemed incapable of NOT framing their cleavage prominently in every photo!

Of course I expected my daughter to object. But these were my blue pill days and I was SHOCKED! Shocked, I tell you, to hear my ex-wife (ostensibly a Christian) defend the practice and tell ME I needed to accept the fact that my daughter now had boobs!

Mind you, they were living in Florida now. Perhaps THE pedophile capital of the country! Stupid, stupid, stupid!

It took almost ten years for my daughter to mature enough, and get slapped around enough (socially), to start focusing on her future reputation, especially as it concerned potential employers and clients.

I sometimes wonder though, if eventually, when we have no real secrets from the web and acknowledge that voyeurism, exhibitionism, eroticism, and lasciviousness are inescapable parts of our (corrupted) nature, if we will simply start giving everyone a "pass" up to a certain but new, socially acceptable level of public humiliation.

A few years ago, a group of researchers wanted to conduct a scientific study and test the effects of porn on the male brain. They put out a call for two groups of college age men: those who had been exposed to porn since they were twelve and a control group of men who had not been viewing porn since they were twelve.

Of course they weren't able to do the study! They could not find a single male, aged 22-24, who had NOT been viewing porn since he was twelve.

We are re-wiring nearly every single child in the world's brain with NO IDEA what the effects will be.

Good luck with that!

I'm not sure that pedos are attracted to nubile young women's boobs.

AFAIK nobody except traditionalist Catholics think porn is wrong any more.

"Sexting" should only be done in the personal "bedroom" of husband and wife. Amen.

@VFM #7634, I'm not Catholic but I am a biologist by education, and I think widespread availability of video porn is utterly disastrous.

Everyone is familiar with the study showing a monkey implanted with electrodes in its brain which when tickled with electricity caused a dopamine release akin to a cocaine high. A button available for the money to press charged the electrodes, and the monkey would sit there, pressing the button until it dehydrated to death.

Porn does this. I can only imagine what VR porn will do. It is the single most destructive force on Earth, like having a cocaine pipeline to everyone's phone or PC. It is addictive in ways no drug, booze, gambling, virtue-signaling or any other vice could possibly be. It is the Ultimate Vice, appearing to have no "hangover" or deleterious physical side-effects.

When raising sons I told them the problem with porn was that it set unreasonable expectations for sex. I now see I grossly underestimated (and under-explained) the unimaginable vortex of time-wasting and focus-diverting it really is. A society could spiral straight into the abyss if men get sucked into this addiction.

PS: About 15 years ago my youngest proudly showed me what he was introduced to by a 4th grade classmate IN SCHOOL. That was eye-opening.

PPS: Want to eliminate the Muslim Horde? Drop them boxes filled with prepaid smartphones bookmarked for porn sites, a jar of Vaseline and a case of Cialis. 99% of the men would be dead in a month.

@ Mountain Man, my sons who work in the financial/banking sector inform me that a cashless society is pipe dream. 18% of Americans cannot open a bank account due to past history of incapacity for it, and that figure for the "unbanked" is growing. Utopians are full of bright, unworkable ideas.

@ Tom Terrific, we've been rewiring brains since the TV era (esp. color TV) and the results are obvious. Adding porn's rewiring plus VR (and VR porn) will almost certainly create a massive bifurcation in humanity, with one massive trunk heading off to oblivion while a much smaller tendril tries desperately to distance itself from the catastrophe.

There has never been a better time to split off ones family and child-rearing from the herd. The best advice I think young parents can heed is, get rid of the TV. Next is, no phone until at least driving age, but given that their peers will all have phones and Net access by mid to late grade school I don't know how much that will help unless one home-schools or does some sort of co-op.

The herd is stampeding for a cliff.

It also does not help matters that the State has essentially criminalized parental discipline.

Dexter: I found a woman from Florida who claimed to be hot and asian, and while her single status was in doubt she did prove she was real. Ironically nobody believes her for some reason!

Hello, fellow traveler from 2004! (Or maybe you were in a coma or institution these last 15 years, who knows.)

Anyways, google 'nofap'. That wasn't started by traditionalist Catholics, it was started by reddit and 4chan.
