Sexism in politics

As usual, the article of feminist faith proves to be false once examined:
Back in 1997, three scholars, Richard Seltzer, Jody Newman and Melissa Voorhees Leighton examined every state legislative race from 1986 to 1994 and every governor's race, U.S. House race and U.S. Senate race from 1972 to 1994. Combined, they analyzed almost 62,000 candidates. They divided the races into three categories: Male incumbents vs. female challengers, female incumbents vs. male challengers and male non-incumbents vs. female non-incumbents.

The results were unambiguous: When women run, women win just as often as men do.

Our study found no difference between success rates for men and women in general elections. Based on the overwhelming weight of the data gathered, the conclusion is clear: A candidate's sex does not affect his or her chances of winning an election.
Hillary Clinton didn't lose because the U.S. voters were sexist. She lost because she was a horrible candidate with a long history of corruption and failure at everything she touched and because she failed to stand against the ongoing invasion of the USA.

Thank God there's no sexism in politics.

I don't think this study rules out sexism in this particular race. The President has a very clear military role as Commander in Chief; some people may not have been comfortable with any woman in that role, much less Hillary. This doesn't apply to the other races covered by the study.

I don't think Hillary lost because of sexism, though. I suspect that any anti-woman votes were cancelled out by higher pro-female voter turnout. Besides, she really was a horrible candidate.

This indicts the education system top to bottom in Catch 22 fashion.

Men generally give women whatever they ask for. Up to and including the downfall of civilization, it seems.

Clinton is a murderous criminal. Thankfully, enough realized that. Thatcher was a good example, for a Brit. Here's the thing....reality isn't racist, it just is. Stereotypes exist for factual reasons. The Clinton Crime Family was a bridge too far. As K selection grows, due to current events, women will desire protection again.

Thing is, I believe that there's going to be a great upheaval in society as the human genome cleanses itself yet again.

Hillary lost because she didn't realize that "run the vote up in safe rigged blue states" isn't a viable electoral strategy under our system.

@ S. Misanthrope - As it is, As it was, As it ever shall be. Feminist shrieking isn't about getting their "fair" share, it's about getting every last goddamn thing.
