Sex discrimination at Yahoo

An anti-discrimination lawsuit has been filed:
The complaint alleges that Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer “encouraged and fostered the use of the QPR Program to accommodate management’s subjective biases and personal opinions, to the detriment of Yahoo’s male employees”. In addition to Mayer, two other female executives — Kathy Savitt, former chief marketing officer, and Megan Liberman, editor-in-chief of Yahoo News, identified in the lawsuit as Yahoo’s vice president of news at the time — are accused in the lawsuit of discriminating on the basis of gender.

“When Savitt began at Yahoo the top managers reporting to her … including the chief editors of the verticals and magazines, were less than 20 percent female. Within a year and a half those top managers were more than 80 percent female,” the lawsuit said. “Savitt has publicly expressed support for increasing the number of women in media and has intentionally hired and promoted women because of their gender, while terminating, demoting or laying off male employees because of their gender.

“Of the approximately 16 senior-level editorial employees hired or promoted by Savitt … in approximately an 18-month period, 14 of them, or 87 percent, were female,” the lawsuit said.
As always, let one "minority" in, and their first priority is to bring in others with them. They don't give a damn about actually running the organization successfully; if they knew how to do that, they would have created it themselves.

The UC System has already been taken over by the Lesbian Mafia:

But that would be noticing.

Do they even offer a new idea? Of course not, it's nothing but bumper sticker platitudes of "Muh vagina, more vaginas" and "diversity be better". Mayer's signature "achievement" is the disastrous billion dollar acquisition of the bottomless money pit known as Tumblr. Reality always applies a slapdown, but it seems nobody ever learns anything.

@Mad Italian_ Yep, what was once possibly the best state university system in the US has now disappeared up its own arse and taken the state's finances with it.

@ChickenChicken Sweep ... the looting by the individual campus Chancellors has been unprecedented.

Re: Yahoo - Bet Google is going "glad to be done with that one a long time ago".

And Verizon is now asking for a discount on the purchase price. MM mismanagement has cost Yahoo over a $1 billion in valuation just the last week. Wonder how long that golden parachute is going to stay open?

That explains why Yahoo has become an unofficial Kardashian/You Go Girl central.

I'd be interested in seeing those stats in raw numbers instead of percentages. A team of four could go from 100% male to 100% female in a year due to "natural causes," but if we're talking about a team of 25+ it's a different story.

When resources are unlimited the urge to loot is irresistible. This is the largest bubble in history. The depth & breadth of scandal and dysfunction being embedded during its rein are no doubt equally unprecedented.

The bust, when it arrives, will reveal the rot. We'll be treated to what undoubtedly will seem like a never-ending stream of revelations.

Handing over control of a company to people who cannot create them themselves and then removing the White guys that built and ran it. That's globalism in a nutshell. Dese Nuts just have no concept of reality. They may say they're on the right side of History, but actually they've left reality and gone to that delusional Fantasy World of Rainbow-Farting Unicorns, where Love is all you need and feelings are more important than results. In a hundred years, you'll need a shovel to find them in the fossil record, I imagine.

Further proof, as if any more were needed, of how little priority the production of quality goods and services (i.e., satisfying the needs of the paying customer) is given in today's corporate world.
