The 80's lied to us

Sex criminals stalk the elementary schools:
A sheriff’s deputy was dispatched last week to a Florida elementary school after a girl kissed a boy during a physical education class. School brass actually reported the impromptu buss as a possible sex crime, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
It seems to me that a standard theme of the movies of the 80's was that conservative adults were no fun and their goal in life was to prevent teenagers from being cool, having fun, and engaging in dancing or sexual activity. Liberals, on the other hand, were cool, fun, and were more inclined to reminisce about their own hijinks rather than condemn or otherwise get in the way of kids being kids.

Call it the Footloose template, for lack of a better term. However, as the progressive ideology of the 1960s has gradually completed its long Gramscian march through the institutions and permeated the organs of societal authority, it turns out that the liberals are far more repressive than the conservatives ever were.

A conservative adult shakes his fist and tells you to slow down when you drive past him on your motorcycle. A progressive adult passes mandatory helmet laws, raises your insurance premiums, and finally bans motorcycles altogether. A remake of Footloose that was truly reflective of the changing times wouldn't end with the prom and the reverend dancing with his wife, but with a therapist explaining to a tearful Kevin Bacon that he had been expelled from school and would be facing criminal charges due to his sexual harassment of all of the girls he had subjected to his unsightly and obscene pelvic thrusting.

Remember, whenever the Left is warning that the Right wants to ban something, they are engaging in projection.

You forgot the last part where Kevin Bacon is handed a fine/tax assessment for his shenanigans, followed by a perp walk beside his fellow students who have been huddled together for an impromptu sensitivity seminar.

Cue a schmaltzy 80's synthesizer ballad about loss and regret.

With the exception of killing babies.

You are right about conservates. I think we have a more nuanced approach to human nature. My 18 yo has a 16 yo girlfriend who is an all american cheerleader. Actually going to be in the Disney parade Thursday. Her parents don't mind he is a little bit older. Helps he is a a physical and mental badass. Full ride to a good engineering school. Talked him out of the coaches trying to recruit him for football.

Wanna bet if the school brass would have the guts to call the deputy if it were two boys kissing?

When being straight is a crime...

also an Eagle scout. Thankfully he is a good kid, otherwise he would be dangerous.

Also an absolute angel to his younger siblings. I guess pure raw Alpha can tame the hottest.

Vox. You crack me up. Keep it coming

I meant she is. My 10 yo loves her like a sister. He is normally a dick head to his younger siblings

One of the many reasons we continue to homeschool. I'm not even sure how kids can make it through the public schools psychologically intact.

I see it all now... 40 years ago, in 1st grade, on the day we came to school in Halloween costumes, I was kissed by a little girl dressed like an angel. It was an act of pure sexual terrorism--made all the worse by her trappings of repressive patriarchal religion. I have been unable to bear the shame and confusion ever since... my life is hollow... I need the government to pay for my therapy.

Seriously, the Left/psychobabbleists have been obsessed with their desire to control sexuality for decades. On the one side they seem to get revulsed by any hint of normal, wholesome (traditional) sexuality, while the next moment they are exposing children to the most bizarre perversions possible. I remember seeing a documentary about this poor guy a few years back (born the same year I was), and one of the early victims of "sexual reassignment":

Reimer's twin brother, Brian, made an ideal control since the two not only shared genes and family environments but had shared the intrauterine environment as well. Second, this was reputed to be the first reassignment and reconstruction performed on a male infant who had no abnormality of prenatal or early postnatal sexual differentiation.
Dr. Money forced the twins to rehearse sexual acts involving "thrusting movements" with David playing the bottom role.[4] As a child, David Reimer painfully recalled having to get "down on all fours" with his brother, Brian Reimer, "up behind his butt" with "his crotch against" his "buttocks".[4] In another sexual position, Dr. Money forced David to have his "legs spread" with Brian on top.[4] Dr. Money also forced the children to take their "clothes off" and engage in "genital inspections".[4] On at "least one occasion", Dr. Money took a "photograph" of the two children doing these activities.[4] Dr. Money's rationale for these various treatments was his belief that "childhood 'sexual rehearsal play'" was important for a "healthy adult gender identity".[4]

ALL THIS was done by a respected psychologist at Johns Hopkins. Of course both brothers eventually committed suicide.

The one-and-only Frank Zappa said roughly the same thing about music executives:

When cigar-chomping conservatives run the show, they'll promote anything that might make a buck. It all sounds like trash to them, but what do they care?

When musicians run the show, they only promote "good" music.

Great post. It is always good to ref to cultural Gramscian thought.

Demonize, even criminalize normalcy and then call the police. What a bunch of morons. But this is actually part of the zero-tolerance rule of stupidity-plus. This, while absurd is the best and brightest of the public school system MO.

In first grade I was brought to the principal's office for kissing a girl on the back of the hand. Since I was only six years old at the time it freaked me out. It was literally the first time I had gotten into trouble at school.

Once we reached the principal's office the teacher telephoned my mother to tell her what I had done. Beyond that nothing else was done to me but nonetheless I was traumatized.

I meant no harm and at the time had no conception of what kind of ill intent could even be meant by what I did but yet I was punished. The teacher seemed very concerned and talked at me for a bit but I don't remember exactly what was said.

I tended to avoid girls at school after that, at least until puberty hit.

This all this happened in 1971.

So for the police to be called in today does not surprise me. In fact I'm wondering why it didn't happen sooner and why it didn't happen to a boy instead of a girl.

Zero Tolerance Man's blog got hacked, but he has started a new blog at:

American Woman Bitch by the Zero Tolerance Man

Zero Tolerance Man has the most powerful anti-feminist blog on the net, because he is directly attacking feminist women and showing what worthless cunts they truly are.

Here is from his "Why Did I create this website" page:

Because most American women are worthless toilet bowl turds. They are nothing but parasites feeding off the hard work of men. Are men better than women in the USA? ABSOLUTELY. The only thing American women are good for is nagging, complaining, and spending men’s money. Most are not even worth fucking. They suck in bed and thus, have absolutely no value to the good men of the USA.

Please send a link to this blog to all your friends.

Funny, but the incident I recalled was about the same time. At first I was surprised at what happened to you but now that I remember it, the little girl did get a rather sharp reprimand from our teacher. I recall wondering why the teacher was so angry.

BTW, this was my first and last year ever spent with the American public school system. After that it was a combination of Christian schools and homeschooling for me, and I never saw this sort of attitude regarding kissing in the Christian schools. Even though it was forbidden, teachers dealt with it in good humor, rather than shrieking like harpies.
