Game is the entry point to the #AltRight

A commenter at Rod Dreher's site observes the process of intellectual development:
The connection between the Alt-Right and the various masculinity movements deserves some elaboration. As many have mentioned, the demographics of the Alt-Right are young and male, and the role of young male frustration (sexual or otherwise) cannot be overstated.

As Dreher adequately documents, the hegemonic narrative regarding gender is clearly insane. And while the level of insanity has climbed exponentially in the past decade, virtually everyone under-30 (my generation) has been marinated in relentless gender-equivalence propaganda since kindergarden. But, as the male cohort grows older, the distance between the experienced reality of of the dating market and the official dogma becomes unsustainable. The cognitive dissonance is simply too great, and boys are driven to seek answers elsewhere. And those answers come, with varying degrees of accuracy and crudity, from the PUA/Game/MRA/RedPill blogs.

Whatever their faults, they all have one redeeming quality – they are manifestly not insane. This comes as a great shock and relief to boys. A shock because they realize the magnitude of the deception they have experienced, and a relief because they realize they are not the crazy ones.
Hence the tagline to this blog: saving Western civilization. Game is only the starting point.

That's my experience circa 2001 when I started reading John Derbyshire's NRO columns.

This is the sad and terrifying truth of Game.

We are only trying to teach guys how to be normal.

I found sites like these massively useful in improving my relationship with my wife (yes, using Game techniques in marriage works, to my surprise at the time), and particularly in working out how emotionally abusive my mother was - and how to deal with it. Certainly a massive eye-opener for someone who was basically a Gamma less than 10 years ago.

Nice. I've been working on this for years. It's funny to note the Alt-Right figures--most notably Greg Johnson at Counter-Currents and Andy Nowicki at Alternative-Right--who were most sceptical about Game and the Manosphere.

Hugh swaths and rows of warehouse at an academic press I worked at (22yo) were filled with works published by nihilists; they were and still are extolled and elevated for their advocacy of reality is relative memes. Why do I bring this up, b\c this is the vacuum and legacy of the left
:anti-reality.

I'll tell you one of the main reasons my ex-wife divorced me. Back then I didn't see it as right for me to express legitimate dominance. I treated her as completely independant, just like I had been taught. I literally held myself back from expressing all of my expectations for her behavior.

I had expectations for her behavior but rarely told her about them. This likely led to her thinking I didn't love her because I came across as indifferent toward her.

Overall I held to my frame but never pulled her into it. I very rarely required that she qualify to me and therefore she couldn't do much emotional investment. Since I so rarely gave her an expectation she would only half-heartedly try to fulfill it because I also very rarely gave her any positive feedback at any time, which is all on me. And yes I know that

This whole cluster of real causes and effects was a mystery to me for decades after the divorce. I had a gut level knowledge of what was going on but because of my previous indoctrination I couldn't put any trust in it and was therefore rendered handicapped.

I don't play games where I can't make accurate judgements of risk versus reward. I knew there were things I didn't know or knew wrong and that it was handicapping me, I proved this to myself with several women after the divorce, but until I wandered into game/red pill blogs I didn't really know what was going on.

By the time I began to figure things out I was into my mid 40's. I'm 50 now and have a much lower tolerance for crap than I did when I was younger. There are vast numbers of women that I genuinely cannot stand to be around for any length of time regardless of how good looking they are.

Personally, I started by noting the insanity of the mainstream ahistorical anti-Christian dogma. This led me to Tekton Apologetics, to Vox Popoli, to game. Not a bad path, I'd say.

That is my experience exactly. Game teaches men that the feminism they have been taught by society is a lie. Then they start wondering what else is a lie & the next thing you know they are #AltRight.

How very condescending to men and women! Maybe your narrative for all humans is wrong!

I was led to Captain Capitalism. I loved hitting up LvM and anything dealing with capitalism. Clarey's site came up on the search and I peeped it. I returned again. Eventually the term "manosphere" was intro'd into my vocab and I Googled that. I don't completely remember how the rest went down but I think it involved Ironwood's site, RedPillRoom. I used the blogroll to access the other sites - ROK, Roosh, Dalrock, Heartiste... it would be a "minute" before I started coming here and Vox Populi. I read for the "game" advice as a means of developing inner confidence and certainty. I also dug the anti-feminist stuff... A LOT! I cannot pinpoint precisely when I started frequenting the Alt-Right sites but to say there was seamless transition is understatement.

At this point, I draw a line. I've nothing against the Alt-Right. I'm just of the opinion that as a Black man it's best for me to watch from afar, admit to an agreement on most of what I read on sites like Counter Currents, Radix, V-Dare, Alt-Right Blogspot, RamZPaul, Right Stuff biz, and be thoroughly entertained each an every time you guys give a nasty blood curdling beatdown to the SJWs, GOPe, and Conservative Inc. I won't say I am "Alt-Right" but I will say that I often concur and agree with the concepts expressed in that corner of the interwebz.

This is the first time I've seen a proper acknowledgment of the importance of the manosphere message on the part of Dreher, who is mostly a tradcon unsympathetic to the alt-right. That in itself may herald a tipping point in the inevitable polarization of left and right.

I got here through minimalism and Clarey's post on the Minimalism Threat. Then the wonderful University of Man then Dalrock et al. Even the short Navy medic...

Then VD/VP and the return to Christ.

Several commenters got here via Captain Capitalism. I approached from the other angle.

I was a college kid who hadn't kissed a girl since he was five (in part because my first middle school girlfriend tried to perjure me into prison). I knew there had to be something wrong with me, because other guys I knew seemed to have no problem. I picked up a copy of "The Game," which led me to the crap PUAs, which led me to TheRedPill reddit page, which led me to the manosphere proper. I never looked back.

I'm always interested in how people came to this nebulous collective of like-minded individuals. It reminds me of Saint Thomas Aquinas: "All truth meets at the top."

@Cataline Sergius
Or even above normal. I find it hard to believe that there is a non-Alt-Right Millennial alive today who will be the Donald Trump of the 2030s, given how pervasive anti-masculinity permeates our culture -- including among boys raised in the 1970s and 1980s -- unless he managed to be born with a freakishly high level of ZFG Natural Game.

That naturally Alpha kid in Terminator 2? I guarantee he doesn't exist in non-Alt-Right white indigenous-European culture any more.

The boys who would have ended up Alphas, Betas, and Sigmas in a healthy culture instead grow up to be Deltas that resemble the higher ranks but are defective forms of them: i.e., sub-Betas (the most common type), sub-Alphas (dumpster-divers, Democrat politicians, and ghetto thugs), and sub-Sigmas. Natural Deltas end up as Gammas, or if they're either particularly beaten down or innately sub-Sigma, Omegas. Vulnerable ones of whatever type end up Lambdas.

Game is a matter of training men to be the rank they would have otherwise been in a healthy culture and with a healthy upbringing: Delta and up.

The age gap among white men, where older ones support Trump and younger ones Bernie, is another huge tell here.

The left’s insistence that every corner of culture forcibly submit to the Narrative is leaving hordes of men with nowhere left to turn but the alt-right subcultures. My former on-line hangout went full retard and essentially shoved me out the door. The subsequent search for ‘my people’ led me to Jeffro’s Appendix N series. His work, and that of our host, provided a reasonable explanation for the decline of quality in sff (full convergence), from which the push-back by the alt-right was a natural next step. For a hard-core Delta nerd like me, the Game crowd – even the gym rat, womanizing, hard drinking sort – was just a hell of a lot more fun to be around than the Gamma swarm on the left.

The take home message here is that the left’s insistence on purity of thought and principal strategy of driving crimethinkers out of the herd generates a vacuum that the alt-right readily fills. The alt-right’s easy acceptance of, and ability to naturally co-exist with, wildly differing philosophies (Game for PUA’s versus Game for Christians) is a breath of fresh air compared to the paranoia and stink of any SJW hangout.

"As he rode along, people kept spreading their cloaks on the road. As he was now approaching the path down from the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the deeds of power that they had seen, saying,

“Blessed is the king
who comes in the name of the Lord!
Peace in heaven,
and glory in the highest heaven!”

Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, order your disciples to stop.” He answered, “I tell you, if these were silent, the stones would shout out.”

Luke 19:36-40

The disciples have been silent on the truth of headship, the PUAs are the stones crying it out.

As many have mentioned, the demographics of the Alt-Right are young and male, and the role of young male frustration (sexual or otherwise) cannot be overstated.

This is the mathematical result of transitioning from a monogamous culture to a polygamous one.

In the latter, it is typical for 60% of males not to reproduce but to be strung along by their social superiors in order to extract labor from them for as long as possible. But traditional white culture is more monogamous than polygamous, so the ratio of winners to losers that white males find acceptable is more like 8 to 2. That is, white men feel it is appropriate to ruthlessly exploit the bottom 20% for free labor ("free" as in hope and promises), but not the next 40% (or so).

Allowing these lower-middle class sorts to have sex and reproduce is generally considered the cost of having a civilization higher than mud huts.

Magnitude is the right word. Gender equality doesn't even cover the wars, the banking cartels, the races, the IQs, the Prussian schools, the transnational Socialists...let alone the neanderthals or the pyramids or the ruins on Mars.

Few but not only. I found Vox through WND, WND through a talk radio host he may have appreciated. The talk radio host was an "extreme" right wing, libertarian guy. He had guest like Ron Paul, David Hackworth, and Richard Marcinko (if you don't know the second two, look them up).

CarpeOro said...

Oh, the radio guy was Mark Scott in Detroit (I think a DC radio station went nuts after they hired him when they realized what he was about). You can still find some of his broadcast archived out there.

I was trolling and shitposting on YouTube, watching random videos including a few female vloggers (because they're nicer to look at) such as Laci Green (nice tits talking about sex). Somehow their algorithm recommended Feminism and the Disposable Male by Karen Straughan (GirlWritesWhat). From there to A Voice for Men, possibly via Alison Tieman (Typhonblue), who was also on YouTube and also wrote The One Good Man.

At some point they linked to The Other McCain, whose banhammer is wielded by Wombat-socho, who does bookposts and is a Sad Puppy; also Vox Popoli is on their blogroll. From there to here, from here to Dalrock and Chateau Heartiste et al.

So basically I found the alt-right and Game, and even had my Christian faith rejuvenated, via a fast-talking godless SJW with problem glasses. Truly, He works in mysterious ways.
