And don’t even get me started on the Xbox. And all of that. If you have callouses on your thumbs, you’re a loser. If you’re more than 18 years old and you’re still jackin’ around with that stuff… [does “L” gesture].Back in the Elizabethan era, this moron would have been one of those agitating against the devil theater. If I ever heard a so-called pastor inveigle against electronic games, I'd get up, walk out, and never come back because the man isn't preaching the Gospel, he's just kowtowing to the modern spirit of feminism.
I curse that spirit in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
There are young gals in this church. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful young gals, and you know why they can’t get a date? ‘Cause that retarded spirit got onto young men.
And as Dalrock points out, the real problem isn't a retarded spirit getting into young men, it is a rebellious feminist spirit getting into women. No man with even a modicum of good sense wants anything to do with such women.
The fact that the moron's teaching is an evil one is easy enough to see:
Some of you women, you have my permission — blame me. He come home — I’m talking about your husband come home, and that’s gone. And don’t just throw it in the trash — he’ll go fish it out — you gotta put in the bathtub full of water before you throw it in the trash.Criminal vandalism and divorce, surely that's what pleases God. And transitive sin is not exactly good theology. Seriously, who listens to these sorts of self-inflating jackasses? The young men have the good sense to tune him out and leave, leaving him the only man in the room.
Dalrock commenter Enrique noticed as much.
All these so-called pastors are passive-aggressive man-boys (ironically), who, on the average, could never control men or dare to credibly challenge men in any actual sphere of real, diverse interaction (the military, fighting, sports, gambling, corporate America). They constantly harp at other men for not growing up and being “real men” etc etc, when they make their living appealing to women’s reception of virtue signaling. It’s all phony.
They couldn't even challenge them at vidya, for that matter.

This was one of the main things that turned me away from "Churchianity". The women run the church and so I left and went elsewhere. Didn't take long for these schmucks to say "where have all the men gone". By that time, I found satisfaction in books, biking, working out, and other pursuits of the mind and body. My bookcase and the outdoors replaced the church quite easily. There is no incentive to go back to that building with a cross atop its steeple. I got my own stuff going on.
I'd bet a woman who was pleasant and paid attention to something other than her cell phone would have no difficulty getting a man to drop the game controller.
Women ruin everything. It's kinda been that way from the very beginning.
I'll date 'em as long as they don't mind footing the bill. And I don't even play vidya.
Oh hang on, it was never about the vidya, was it?
I'm not saying it would cure the gamma or the churchianity, but the preachers really need to listen to the conversations young women have when they're not in church.
At church, the pastors greet the young, washed women who mouth the right words and put on the show of, if not humility than non-brazenness.
In many ways, the pastors can fall for the deception because he only sees the "church" girls. Even at church functions, they have the act going.
On another point, the over-use of "beautiful" as a descriptor is a giveaway that the pastor is just in it for the virtual pooz. There's no counterpart description of the men.
"I am upset that good looking, hard working, decent-in-spirit men are wasting their lives and succumbing to temptations."
Instead, it's denigrating the men. If a pastor was really interested in getting a flowering church, he'd want the women to view the young men in a favorable, if flawed, light. However, he doesn't really want that. He envisions the young girls comparing him to those "losers" and lusting after him.
Most pastors today aren't deep enough thinkers to understand what's going on, so they attack symptoms while simultaneously supporting the errors that are causing them.

The XBox spirit is even more retarded that the Leviathan spirit I heard some woman going on about a few years back. She was going on about water spirits and other nonsense too. But apparently we have to curse Leviathan. Because reasons.
I really wish these imbeciles wouldn't blaspheme the name of Christ when they say things like that.

Yup.
Pastors come in one of two extreme variations: the milquetoasty gamma wuss or the ueber-alpha. Both pull the AMOG routine on tbeir congregations, but for different reasons. The first type uses the Bible and the pulpit as weapons (their biblically illiterate congregants are never any the wiser) because he can't get any female attention otherwise due to his own low SMV. Other men in general pose a competitive threat to him, so the idea is to run as many of them out of his congregation as possible. The other type is ... well, alpha. He can't picture any man not being able to score like he effortlessly does, so any man who doesn't has gotta be defective in some way. Must be an obsession with vidya.
Black preachers usually become one because they have political aspirations. That's why it is the Rev. Al Sharpton, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, the Rev. M. L. King, etc. ad nauseum.
It comes from the slavery days when the only position Negroes could get any respect from Whites was as a preacher. So they all flocked there to become political activists while spouting some b.s. religious nonsense to keep Whitey from figuring out the con.
All those hot, young, Churchian women! Just think boys, if you work really hard, you might get to be her first husband!
The Puritans would consider any man not working during daylight hours a useless layabout. They would also have harsh words for any woman who chose to remain unmarried, disobeyed her husband, and would never even consider divorce.
The key is that while men are always attacked for any and all behavior, women are never chastised or punished for their own gluttony or sloth.
Met the friend of a niece (wife's side) when she stayed with us for a few days along with the niece. Polite, beautiful clear skin, seemed nice. Only problem was, at 16 she was 40+ pounds over weight. With the church and Christian pop music so undermined by the world, feminism and anti-male messages she will likely never hear the words "if you want to attract a good man's eye, become something that will attract it. No, not by dressing slutty (way to common), by losing weight and being fit."
Never heard what happened to the prior bff of the niece who she tended to be domineering toward. I expect the niece's former bff had finally met up with the pull of puberty and she realized that being fit and nubile she was attracting the attention of males - far more heady than a not physically fit female's attention.
at 16 she was 40+ pounds over weight.
Far be it for me to comment on a chick's weight considering I'm a bit fluffy at the moment but this. I was in a rural Idaho town's store and saw a deceptively pretty redhead with a Newsboys T on. It's the yoga pants that were screaming out at me for help that likely got my attention. She'd have been a hard 6 and a girl I'd have spoken at length to had she been even slightly more attractive.
All I could muster and want to say was "Sorry, I'm a Red and Thousand Foot Krutch kinda guy."
The type of young single man that would attend that church is exactly the type those beautiful young women would be instinctively repelled by.
"There are young gals in this church. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful young gals, and you know why they can’t get a date?"
Those gals are dating (and fucking, and sucking) regularly. They're just not doing so around you, Pastor.
"It's the yoga pants that were screaming out at me for help that likely got my attention."
Ladies, there's a point here. If you have figure flaws, avoid wearing clothes that emphasize them. Almost everybody looks better with a bit of thought about their wardrobe.
I like Dalrock and will click from here to read his posts, but so often I just can't. His articles hurt my heart and soul and mind too damn hard! I have considered returninf to my Catholic roots, or maybe going E. Ortho. But I'm not much into icons or statues.
But evangelicalism and even Pentecostalism are just so DEAD.
Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus!
Novaseeker, posting at Dalrock's, got it exactly right.
Novaseeker:
"The thing is that it’s true that gaming isn’t helping these guys one bit. They ought to be doing much better things with their time than gaming, and we talk about this a lot in the sphere in general. But the problem here is that [the pastor] doesn’t get the dynamic right — in fact, he gets it completely backwards.
"The young men are pissing away their time with computer games because the young women are either unattractive or unattainable. This is the basic thing that drives so many young men into gaming — it’s more reliable, more entertaining, and less irritating than being shot down by unattainable (yet who are peer in attractiveness) women, and being faced with only unattractive women being available. In that context, ESPN/Porn/X-Box/PC games seems attractive. That’s the dynamic, and he gets it precisely backwards because he can’t fathom that the young women are doing anything at all which impacts the choices that young men are making.
"Of course, in the sphere and TRP and so on, we advise young guys to work on themselves, ditch the games ESPN and take the time freed up to self-improve in various ways. But the guys have to be motivated to do so, and, as we all know, almost everyone who turns up in the RP-sphere is self-motivated in a way that the masses of young men are not. There isn’t much to be done about that as long as young women are behaving as they are, and unfortunately given the underlying strong biases, I think it’s extremely unlikely that Christian pastors will be acknowledging the actual dynamic at play any time soon."
Women are lost without a patriarchal figure, like the Lord and the lil' cute lords like dads, husbands and brothers. Men are a stabilizing force in women's live whom refute feminism. We are lost without the Lord and lost without our men so its go at it alone in life and I just cannot promote these questionable churches.
Neocons, cucks, idiots, deceptive types, shamers, chruchtainty at the altar of gammatude, there is no place to go but the bible,. TTB.org and pray.
I realize that my experience is limited, but I've been teaching Sunday school off and on since 1991. About 2/3 of that time has been teens with the other 1/3 being adults. For the last 16 years I've been at the same church.
What I've seen is that the chaste/good girls have no problem attracting nice/decent guys and getting married by their early 20's. The other girls have no problem getting knocked up by the same age. The difference between the two groups seems to be how much they have bought into the culture. The girls who want to do things the "right way" have no problem finding a man who wants the same thing. The girls who want to do "their own thing" do.
Both groups of girls keep coming back to church. It doesn't matter if they just graduated or if they are my age (mid 40's), the ones who follow after the culture end up unhappy with their lot in life. That's not just true of the sluts. The gals who put off getting married to develop careers or even in one case to do mission work end up losing out.
Girls have a peek marriage window of 16 to 20, or maybe 22 on the outside. IF they focus on getting a good man in that window, they can have a great life. If they focus on other stuff then the quality of the marriage or even getting married is up in the air.
I'm willing to blast guys who do dumb stuff that sabotages their life. But the sorry state of marriage and the family in the world has as much, if not more to do with the actions of the female.
The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.

It's freaking ridiculous.
It's not like gaming is the brand new thingy all the whippersnappers are into these days.
It's been around for...checking...the Magnavox Odyssey was introduced in 1972. It was only useful for playing Pong but that was genesis. Kids that played on that system are in their fifties now. There are now gamers with grandchildren for fuck's sake. So quit pretending it's kid's stuff!!
If I ever say I'm tired of gaming, don't bother to check for a pulse. Just chuck me in a hole and start piling on the dirt. You'll be doing me a kindness.
de ti,
He is correct, but only to a point. Young men should be doing productive things, but video games can be a part of enjoying life as much as any other activity, including VD's soccer games.
I would agree with Cataline Sergius that I expect to play games my entire life. I did my college graduate work in the topic and it remains a valid focus for many things. (This was long prior to the "computer game degrees" you see now.)
Playing is not the problem. The pastor is way off base and needs to examine quite a bit of his assumptions.
@Res Ipsa
That comment was inspired by God, and should be printed out and tacked onto the wall of the door of every house of worship, school, park, and anywhere else men and women of any religion congregate.
Thanks Ron.
I've had interesting interactions with kids because of teaching Bible classes. I've also come to believe (because of talking to folks in other churches) that we are majorly messing up by not teaching kids biblical truth about sex and marriage. When I was a kid, 70's and 80's, the teaching was "hold off till you get married". Which is true, but not enough. Now what I hear kids being told is "use a condom".
It's sad.

That's because they were getting married at 23ish. You can hold off sex for that long by the Grace of God. But when, if at all, you're marrying at 27-30, that's just about humanly impossible.
... We need men like @Res Ipsa and @Vox Day up in the pulpit... like REAL BAD... Amen.

1v1 me, pastor cuck. Fox, no items, Final Destination.
I almost screamed in frustration as I read this. Pardon the womanishness of how personally I'm about to take this, but seriously. I am a traditional Catholic, virgin, white twenty-something who would love to get a manly husband for whom I would be obedient, cook great food, and have many children. And I would LOVE for him to be an accomplished gamer because I love video games for their storylines, settings, music, etc., but am not terribly good at them myself! ARGH!!!
