How to talk to college girls

College Deltas and Gammas are heeding the signals and increasingly refraining from approaching women on campus:
Thanks to an increased focus on sexual assaults on college campuses – mostly due to an overblown statistic claiming 20 percent of college women have been sexually assaulted – young college men are starting to rethink how they talk to women.

At first glance that might seem like a good thing – men learning to be more respectful of women and not be so rapey – but that’s not what this is. This is about men actually avoiding contact with women because they’re afraid a simple kiss or date could lead to a sexual assault accusation....

Joshua Handler of New York University’s comments brought up another interesting consequence of so much media attention: Having to talk to women in a very specific manner. Handler told the Bloomberg reporters that he is now very clear about what he wants when he talks to women. Because now, apparently, women can’t interpret conversations and need to be spoken to like children (my words, not his).
Feminism: the gift that just keeps on giving. But at least the current environment is teaching lower-status men to speak to young women in the way higher-status men do. Talking to women as if they are slow-witted children is, without question, a display of high value. Women are seldom attracted to intelligence when nerds treat them as if they are smart, and yet many of them will drop their drawers on command when an intelligent jerk treats them as if they are mentally retarded.

Don't take my word for it. Experiment. If you're a college guy, talk to the next pretty girl you meet as if she's Stephen Hawking and you're in awe of her every word. Then talk to the next one as if she's a retarded kid who is getting on your nerves. Report in and tell us which girl gave you her number... and whether it was solicited or not.

Women will almost never admit this is true, even when they verbalize this very scenario in their own lives. Even my sweet dear wife forgets that our friendship only turned when I told her she was not my type, and no - I didn't want to go out to dinner with her, finding relationships with pretty girls to be exhausting. (She is a six foot blond and I' am a robust 5'7).

...but you remain calm and can't dedicate too much time to her.

Thanks Vox, this made me laugh. I've always considered women to be like children. Retarded children? That's a thought.

If it's true college men are avoiding contact with female students. then an enterprising business-minded individual could do quite well, I think, by setting up campus brothels [and no, I'm not referring to sororities]. Official or not, it's coming.

I'm sure you've seen this, Vox...

"From sex to spots and career satisfaction: a month 'living by my hormones' changed everything
When Beverley Turner stumbled across a website about her hormone cycle, she never expected to become addicted. But how reliable was it? Unconvinced, she decided to put it to the test and live by her hormones for a month. This is what happened..."

"The results?

After a month I’m convinced - our hormones impact everything we do.

There are few things worse than blokes writing women off as ‘hormonal.’ But what’s better – to deny how mammalian we really are, or work with it?

My health, energy, career and relationships have all improved. As a control freak, I want to be the one in charge of my moods - not my sneaky endocrine system. Now I am."

Everybody wants supplicant beta behavior from men until they get it.

In jest, I used to say "i think feminism is the false religion in Revelation, where we are warned to 'stay away from that Woman.'"

Now I seriously wonder if it may be, with its denominations including even supposedly patriarchal Christian churches. Nothing has corrupted our society more than feminism, and there is no place where more blood has been spilt moreso than in a feminists womb, and no class of despot with more blood on their hands than a feminists hands soaked in the blood of their own children.

I'm old enough to remember when male heterosexuals were out and proud, and gays were still in the closet. Now, we have the reverse.

IOW, all the "mansplaining" that feminists have been b!tching about lately happens because it's male courtship behavior. Typical.

Heh. +1.

I shudder to think of what my nephews will have to endure. Kid's only 15. And he so doesn't get women at all.

Though when we was 100% UN-interested, they were all over him.

If you have a pleasantly courteous conversation, it goes flat like old Coke. OTOH, it's actually hilarious how regularly teasing the girl, mixed with mild doses of being nice, will keep things between you two popping with a nice effervescence.

Unfortunately, this post also just reminded me that, while I'm much better than I was a few years ago, I'm still doing far too much of the stale courteous conversation.

That isn't Team Christianity, at least not as taught and understood in the Bible and by Christians for around 1800 years.

This is marriage in Christianity:

1. Have zero sexual partners before marriage
2. Get married before moving in together
3. Understand marriage is a life long commitment
4. Keep your life long commitment
5. Have children after getting married
6. Raise you children to do the same

Who needs a college girl for that?

@ sexistpig

"Go Team Christianity!" since observing its religious precepts will have one ticking all the boxes from 1 through 4. Secularization and feminism are at fault for the non-observance of our cultural and philosophical tradition.

Eugenics says I should find a college girl with a worthwhile degree, it being a proxy for smartness. Any woman will stop working or at least focusing on her career if she is given the opportunity by a financially independant husband (who is smart enough to not discuss his financial situation before it is necessary).

Any traditional woman will gladly entertain the idea even a college educated one. Then again those are not that easy to come by. Although one could easily increase his odds by gaming a bookworm early in the semester vs. just before exams.

So male-female interactions have to increasingly resemble a prostitution transaction? "Hey baby, nice shoes. Wanna come back to my place so I can flick your nipple and lick your booty-crease? Do you need cab fair? How many drinks before you'd be willing to do butt-stuff? what will two apppletini's and a bottle of champagne for your friends get me?"

Like some have said, feminism achieved what Chrisitianity hasn't. Putting sex back into patriarchy.

Or college men need to date outside of their institution. This is what I call pre-sexual harrassment training. Men already don't date women at the office.
