Solipsism is shameless

It's impossible to understand this sort of seemingly hypocritical behavior without at least a partial grasp of female solipsism:
A top diplomat at India’s consulate in Manhattan who lobbies for women’s rights has been busted by the feds — after allegedly mistreating her female nanny. Devyani , India’s 39-year-old deputy consul general for political, economic, commercial and women’s affairs, was busted Thursday for allegedly helping to submit fake documents to the US State Department saying she was paying the woman $4,500 per month — when, in reality, the caregiver received only $573 monthly, or a measly $3.31 an hour.

In an April interview with The Indian Panorama, a weekly Manhattan-based newspaper, Khobragade claimed that she’s a strong advocate for “underprivileged” women’s rights.
Men get tripped up by this sort of thing all the time. They think that because a woman with whom they are involved says she hates being treated in a certain way, she will not treat others in that way. But women don't think like that. To them, the fact that they don't like being treated a certain way has nothing to do with how they will treat others.

But it's not pure hypocrisy. The hypocrite usually recognizes what he's doing is wrong. The solipsist usually doesn't.

I've noticed that for liberals a strong belief in something doesn't equate to "I should change my behavior," it means "I should advocate for these kinds of policies." Advocating for the correct policy is righteousness. Personal behavior doesn't matter so much.

So I wonder if this is a female thing or a liberal thing.

Crowhill, I think it's both. It's definitely typical for a liberal to think that his own happiness and ascent to power are important enough that it's okay for him to bend the rules he enacts for everyone else -- the end justifying the means. But with female liberals you add solipsism to that, and now not only do they consider themselves above the rules, but they don't even see the people whom their exceptions are harming as individuals separate from themselves.

This highlights the absurdity of Gammas and Delta-thinking. A woman is coddled to embrace her envy and solipsism from when she can first talk. And thus, she will never love her husband as he loves her and she may never appreciate him, so long as he continues his pedestal-thinking.

Truer words..... Remember this gentlemen. It will save you a lot of heartache.

@ Crowhill: "So I wonder if this is a female thing or a liberal thing."

Is it 2+2, or is it 4?

Martel, yes, I don't think you'd be too far off if you defined liberalism as female solipsism applied society-wide.

I wonder why Corzine didn't complain after the NYPD arrested him and subjected him to a cavity search for bilking hundreds of millions of dollars from clients. Probably he was embarrassed.

As many years as he was a politician, he was only embarrassed that he got caught.

I've some dealings with Indians and this is probably due to their caste system, which they try to bring over here. A few decades ago I worked retail for a while and the way Indians and the Japanese tried to treat me was astonishing. That is, they tried for about five seconds to abuse me before I put a stop to it. Then they backed right down.

In Japan retail workers are considered "eta" and in India, Dalit. Both mean "untouchable."

Revelation Means Hope said...

Bob, not really true about the Japanese.
While they are at their jobs, the Japanese retail worker is supposed to put the customer higher than themselves. And the customer therefore can correctly consider the retail worker to be their servant for the purposes of the transaction. But that is the extent of it, and they don't consider them to be a lesser person *outside* of their work, or untouchable.

I think most American retail workers would benefit from taking the attitude with Japanese customers "I am the host of your shopping experience". A subtle difference that the Japanese will immediately be comfortable with adapting. You'd probably make more sales, too. A host is in some ways superior (think very high end retail stores) to most Japanese customers, yet with strong elements of politeness and still very customer-centric.

I do have to wonder why the f*** people need a cavity search for that sort of crime.. America is weird.

But yes it is amusing at her general situation. Just goes to show that if women ruled the world and were all company execs etc, the rest of the women wouldn't fare any better. Heck they'd probably end up even worse.

For solipsis, remember the favorite tool of women to try and use on men is shaming language.

Shaming language is a good tool. Get them into the defensive mode to have any chance of modifying their behavior. And remember their shaming points are different from men's shaming points.
Virgin - men. Slut - women.
Pussy - men. Bitch - women.
Weak - men. Ugly - women.
and so on.

The solipsist lies to themself, so that their persona doesn't "know" that what they're doing is wrong - but make no mistake, they consciously choose to believe in un-truth.

Have you noticed how everything that everything the National Organization for Upper Middle Class White Women has foisted on America has had a profoundly negative effect on non-white and non-upper-middle-class women?

Thanks to feminism, upper middle class white women (effectively) rule America, and the rest of the women, i.e. the non-white and non-upper-middle-class ones, are much worse off.

Which is why I laugh my ass off when a man, looking me right in the eye, tells me that he is voting for the "conservative" woman. And, laugh right in his face and ask if he also sits to pee. Well, trained, lad, well trained. Then I start looking for his manpurse, see if he is always calling or texting, and a few other... oddities of his ilk.

Bear in mind that some of us consider a turse (Tactical Purse) a commodious holster for those occasions when such seems a desirable fashion option.

You make a fair point, but it pays to not forget there are always alternatives to be considered in arriving at a judgement of another (like the fact not all women go heeled only in their choice of footwear).

This post literally illustrates things at home. The last week, it was thrown in my face that the state of OH, of which I long left, said I was mentally ill. Sure, I'm sick, yes all week there was screaming and yelling (idots and partly my fault and my own rage, which is wrong), the best warning was to not let them make me crazy.

There is no reaching the (F/woman S'ism) solipsism in some women. Hopefully, in my 40+, I won't be like that but still it disrupts my peace or contentment. I pray and its all I can do as I associate the FS issue as mental instability among women.

The emotional pain it causes is nearly juvenile. The only way I have found to deal with the FS, is remain objective, obscure and ensure the money does not go to the wrong people.

And for that I am called 'checked out'. Yay.

Also, it appears that certain people in my once normal now surreal life have absurd hidden crimes, idiotic addictions and utter self destructive personalities. So, I cannot be around them.

Owning it/self-awareness is a starting point. When dealing with other women, just realize that's what's going on, even use it to get the job done. With men, respect they already understand who you are and be grateful that they generally like a pleasant honest woman; men are great in giving us the benefit of the doubt and I appreciate them as I should when I recognize that. Keep doing as you are in trying to ensure the money (or goods/services) go in the right pocket. That can be as good as it gets at times. As for "checking out," I see it as not casting pearls to swine and indeed, a means to maintain sanity. I'm 50+ and these strategies have enabled more peace, contentment, and value that I give. Blessing.

$6000 a year is a great wage in India. A graduate of the Indian equivalent of Harvard Law School makes $27,000 a year. A typical starting lawyer makes $17,000 a year.

When I was in India a few years ago I rented a man, his wife and a couple of their kids (6 and 9 years old) to take care of my house and body for $3000 a year. I was considered a generous employer. There is no way in hell I would have considered paying them American-scale wages.

One of the fastest ways I can think of to piss a woman off is to point out situations where she clearly says something and does the complete opposite.

Yep. For the cost of US apartment rent, you can have a mansion with hot and cold running servants in India.

This story is now part of an international scandal, as the diplomat was subjected to arrest and a body cavity search by the federal cops.

These cops need to be fired. You do not screw with embassy staff. If they do something bad, you ask the State Department to persona-non-grata them out of the country.

The government of India is now getting ready to retaliate against our diplomats in India over this colossal screw-up.
