Depravity and dominance

This news certainly puts an appallingly sinister new spin on one of my favorite videos:
Ian Watkins, 35, of Pontypridd, appeared before Cardiff magistrates facing six charges relating to sexual offences against two young children.  He faces a charge of conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with a child under 13 and four offences relating to possession and distribution of indecent images of children.... A 24-year-old woman has been charged with the same offences as Mr Watkins, while a 20-year-old woman is charged with five of the same offences but not conspiracy to rape.
Setting aside all the caveats about innocent until proven guilty and so forth, as well as the usual moral posturing, what I find interesting about this is not that a reasonably successful male rock star should prove to be a complete sexual deviant, but rather, the way in which a presumably dominant man is able to coerce women into his moral degeneracy.

It's not unusual for a liberal woman to become more conservative as a result of marrying a Republican husband and it's almost a cliche for a good conservative girl to become a bad girl as a result of involvement with a bad boy.  But, if we assume that this conspiracy was both real and driven by the dark desires of the man in question, it is remarkable that female malleability should be observed to extend even to the outer limits of depravity.

You are influenced by the company you keep. Your thoughts are shaped by the conversations you hold. It's true for both men and women--for different reasons, of course--but they don't preach about this anymore in the churches.

There's your sage advice from a girl who works for an evil overlord. I feel the change happening even now. Pretty soon, I'm sure, I'm going to be wearing miniskirts with thigh-high boots and seducing superheroes to advance his evil schemes.

That reminds me of cases with fathers molesting their kids when the mother knows about it. I don't know how common that is, and I had not thought about that in the context of "malleability", but this is probably more common than you realize.

Women are willing to overlook some bad things.

The Bernardo/Homolka killings in Canada are another example of "malleability", though Homolka is clearly an outlier in terms of how far she was willing to go with it. Not only did Homolka help her boyfriend, and later husband, to stalk young women and rape them, she dosed her own sister with Valium and served her up to Bernardo to be raped while unconscious, then assisted him in raping and/or killing three further victims before they were finally caught. Once in custody, she then turned on her husband, got a slap on the wrist of a sentence for assuring his conviction, and has now sailed off into the sunset to Guadeloupe, where she lives with her new husband and three children under an assumed name. "Malleable" barely covers it.

Yeah, but Karla Homolka was a raging cow who obviously suffered from low self-esteem.

Oh, wait. She was smokin' hot.

Never mind.

Considering how many women pimp out their own daughters to would-be stepfathers, is this even surprising, let alone shocking?

Sadly, not to me.

the woman is choosing the male who's going to "mold her". she's like flesh looking for a bone. clay looking for an artisan - but she's still doing the picking.

in other words the girls were already conservative or bad - those women were already looking forward to abuse minors, conspire, etc. there's no innocence on picking a man who can make the dreams come true

In contrast, Eve lured Adam to sin, Solomon's wives led him astray, Jezebel did no favors to Ahab, and Israel was forbidden to marry the Cananite women, lest they be led to idolatry.

I'm not sure there's any distinction of one partner's potential influence over the other.

We cannot assume this. How do we know that what drives a desire to molest children doesn't originate with the women? We're perfectly comfortable accepting that the sexual propensities and guile of women are far more subtle and complex that those of the male, and that both historical and biblical evidence of this is sound, so why not assume primacy in these sort of cases to the women?

Sexual desire in most Alpha men is raw and powerful but the loss of reason and restraint to the point where sexual activity involves children as well as women requires the conniving wiles of the hypergamous hamster. If hypergamy is a major facet of Eve's original sin, it's no surprise at all that Eve's daughters would sacrifice everything, even the well-being of children, to satisfy its diabolical imperatives.

Listen to Loveline for a week straight and you will come to realize that it's extremely common.

You'll also start looking at construction workers, especially those who specialize in installing siding, in a whole new dark light.

We not only can assume it, we have to. The women are young fans of his. As the rock star, he is the dominant figure.

Actually, she looked kinda fat to me. Looked like one of the chicks who's weight yo-yos up and down.

And not everybody in the music bidness is messed up, but there are more than few who gravitate to the chaotic lifestyle.

This guy just got convicted today in a city near me. The thing about his case wasn't that he did anything; he convinced SEVERAL women to do the dirty work while he stored the results on his hard drive. Mind you, he found SEVERAL women in a city of say 30,000 people, not a bustling mega metropolis where you'd think outliers and real deviants would congregate.

What the heck kind of a woman would say "yeah sure" when a guy asked her to molest a child for him and give him the photos?

I honestly can't believe this surprises you. This is part of why I know women are not equal. Many divorcees will... subtly, unconsciously, even outright directly, offer their children... for a man they want. No, I haven't gone there. And I haven't messed with women that badly. But I have towed them into some serious (normal, adult) immorality. It doesn't take much.

It is also why penalties are often much milder for women (though that is true whether a man was involved or not). Women aren't seen by the law as equal, capable, or even self-aware enough to always fully be able to be in control of themselves. And, well, they often aren't.

This is as much an argument for moral leadership by men as it is for women's self critical examination. Yet in the 'manosphere' all you have is glorification of depravity and little boys falling over themselves to demonstrate to everyone what men they've become via game because they can convince women to make bad decisions.

Facepalm,

Nice quip about little boys. But if half of what is said is true, you really don't belong on anything like the high horse you think you are riding. You can thank the stars you found a right man. Hush, woman... or whatever. God, I hope you aren't one of the male gamma feminists. Or, don't they consider themselves good enough to BE feminists? Truly, whatever.

You really ought to simply look at what is being written and see how that fits in your world. If you really think you couldn't be lead astray by your man, have you shackled up with a weak man (which makes one wonder what YOU have lead your man to), are you lesbian (which would bring up questions all it's own about forays outside of morality), what? Love isn't known for shamelessness without a reason.

Many women mold themselves to the people around them. They meet expectations if those expectations are presented with enough authority.

I saw it in my ex-wife. Whoever she was with determined how she acted and what she thought. She didn't consciously do this, it was just the way she was.

I'm not saying she didn't have any moral agency at all, she certainly did. It was that she would mold herself in order to please those she liked or needed something from. I hesitate to say she changed for those she respected because I'm not sure she respected anyone, most especially herself.

It takes a strong woman to buck the herd or a woman that has invested a great deal of emotional capital in her man.

Doom - half of what I said? It's all true, and it really isn't that controversial. Sounds like you might have a lot to be defensive about. I don't really know, examine your own life.

One time at a party when I was in my thirties, I flirted a little with a girl who turned out to be 16. In bed later with the date I took to the party, she started talking dirty to me about the 16-year-old, asking if I was thinking about her, saying I should go ask her to join us, etc. But she probably wouldn't have done that if she hadn't seen my interest in the girl, and she was a 16-year-old drinking at a party with adults, so we're not talking pederasty here. (For the record, I didn't pursue it and nothing happened.) It's not like she just came up and said, "Hey, wanna make some kiddie porn?"

So I'm with Vox: if a man is dominant enough that women will do illegal, crazy stuff for him, they're going to be too focused on following his lead to suggest random crimes that might disgust him. He had to at least put the idea out there.

Hi VD,
I'd just like to ask - are you the same Vd who wrote this: http://voxday.blogspot.com/2012/12/why-us-gun-deaths-are-high.html

And this: http://www.wnd.com/2012/12/standing-firm-for-freedom/

I just wanted to get clarity on this, as I've been addressing the recent Newtown shootings on my blog and the wider discussion it seems to be engendering, particularly as it pertains to race and sexual politics. Looking forward to your response and clarification.

Thanks!

I had a flirtation of a couple months duration with a single mom in the Philippines ahead of a recent trip there. She made some odd comments about her 2 year old daughter, which I dismissed. Then, when we were sharing a sexual fantasy on chat, she started bringing her daughter into the equation.

Fucking terrifying. HER TWO YEAR OLD DAUGHTER.

Or it could be the opposite. She seeks out that type of man because she already wanted to do crime, but lacks the balls to do it alone.

Forgot something. I have watched tons of serial killer and rapist documentaries lately, and in criminal couples, there is often a leader and the follower, blinded by lust for the leader. It's surprising how sometimes, the mastermind is the girl/woman. And sometimes it's the man.
