The godless gamma

I know many alphas and even recovering deltas working on their Game find it impossible to comprehend the full depth of cluelessness about women possessed by the average gamma. But I doubt it will surprise anyone that a self-described "liberal skeptic, rationalist and atheist" who entertains "a passion for science" doesn't grasp the very first thing about women.
Yes, because when a woman is irritated at some dolt dismissing any possibility of her having a career other than being a Hollywood pin-up babe on the sole basis of her aesthetics, she’s obviously just flattered. And hiding it. Underneath her venting. For some reason.

Vox must be just incredibly in-tune with the female mind, because that makes absolutely no sense to me.
I have absolutely no doubt it doesn't. Because like most gammas, the poor lad thinks that women essentially think like men, except of course for their greater purity of character. He simply cannot fathom that women view everything through the perspective of their own sexual market value. Steve Sailer provides an excellent example of this in a different field in Sailer's Law of Female Journalism, which states that the issue that will tend to most passionately engage non-self-aware female journalists is that society should be turned upside down so that she, personally, would be considered hotter-looking.
Okay, now I get it, it's a double bankshot version of Sailer's Law. The problem with casting a 28-year-old actress opposite 40-year-old Ewan McGregor is that audiences will assume the beautiful 28-year-old is actually a beautiful 40-year-old, which will make the 33-year-old Marcotte seem less hot in comparison. I strongly doubt that audiences will do any such thing, but to alleviate Marcotte's worries, I propose:

Memo to Hollywood: the surest way to ease Armanda Marcotte's concerns that the women in movies are hotter than she is would be to cast Armanda Marcotte as the sexy lead in all your 2012 releases. Is that too much to ask?
Unfortunately, getting a gamma to accept the reality of Game is about as hard as convincing an atheist that God really does exist. It can be done, it HAS been done, but because it requires such a complete upheaval of not only their worldview, but very self-identification, in most cases there isn't much you can usefully do besides laugh at them as they continue to push on the door marked "Pull".

Wasn't David Banner turned into the Incredible Hulk from a burst of gamma radiation?

Just saying'

That was funny and brilliant at several points.

These two quotes went into my "epic" file:

"women view everything through the perspective of their own sexual market value. "

"most gammas, the poor lad thinks that women essentially think like men, except of course for their greater purity of character. "

The hulk really does have the jekyll/hyde of the typical gamma.

and what a hilarious juxtaposition - gamma inability to pull, and the far side cartoon with the "gifted" kid trying to push on that door.

Fabulous.

I almost fell off my chair laughing again. This tops the gamma war post despite its macabre flames.

"... women view everything through the perspective of their own sexual market value ..."

Some women have a completely faulty sense of their own sexual market value, so I assume you mean "through their perspective."

Yes, and then he proceded to comb his hair down over his face and put on emo glasses, believing that, and not his Brutish Super Strength, would attract women.

The Hulk was total beta. Just watch clips of the old Mr Olympian contests between Lou and Arnold. Arnold totally screwed with loud head.

Yea, Ferrigno was certainly the gentle giant, but then when you are 6'5'' and 275 lbs and look like THAT, I don't suppose you Have to be overly aggressive to dissuade anybody from messing with you.

I wonder how late he stayed up fantasizing about if she read his article..

The Gamma approach to women is very much like someone who gives a dog a biscuit every time it shits on their carpet, and then acts truly puzzled that he's the only one on the block whose dog isn't house broken.

I've tried showing this blog to a few super gamma friends of mine (who are continually complaining about the girls who crap on the hearts they have romantically strewn at their feet), but they very concept of Game offends them. I had one guy tell me "I don't need a rulebook for love".

Yes, because it's been working so awesomely for you so far, Mr. Haven't Had a Girlfriend in 10 Years.

I'm surprised anyone is paying any attention to Amanda, though "non-self-aware" is a good summation.

I can see why the omegas ironically have more hope of being rehabilitated than the gammas.

In several of my gamma acquaintances (they are tough to be friends with, so I consider them acquaintances), they are stressed much of the time by their repressed rage and bitterness.

Many of them are high in intelligence, so it is a shame that feminism's poison has effectively crippled them for life.

I get a lot of this too (friends in STEM, so they are smart guys whose hamsters coopt their intelligence to rationalize). It's really unbelievable. Twice they've argued with me that it's a bad idea to tease a woman on her shoes/purse/whatever, moments after I close a ten-minute conversation with a set with the girls begging for more. It's like the evidence doesn't matter.

What's your point here? What does game have to do with the fact that you put down the woman's looks and brains? Is that supposed to turn her on? I think this guy was right, you went overboard.

But, I will say, so did she; majorly. I'D have been flattered; the guy was probably just referring to the fact that he was used to only seeing men in that field, and men aren't pretty.
