If you're a man, get used to it. Don't wait for compliments. Don't expect them. That's why the Alpha seldom ceases to compliment himself, and tends to care so little about the praise of others. He has learned, over time, that his opinion is the only one that matters.

You find some weird stuff, Vox.

Quite true.
Also, ALphas don't seek out affection from others. Others come to him seeking affection. That is pretty instinctive for a genuine Alpha because that's how it works for him
How does an alpha sigma handle compliments though
thats genuinely funny. odd but funny.
Niggas always bragging about shit they was supposed to do!
"If you're a man, get used to it. Don't wait for compliments. Don't expect them. And if a woman compliments you, always, ALWAYS suspect an ulterior motive."
FIFY.
Yeah, yeah. Amen...

I usually feel vaguely uncomfortable when people give me compliments. Not exactly sure why that is.

What do you want, a cookie?? You're supposed to take care of your kids, you low expectation MF!
That is strange, but so oddly on point. Funny.

Because it usually means they want something, and you haven't yet figured out what it is.
After clicking once on one of Vox Days crummy music posts, never again
I can appreciate you wanting to promote your connected pals in the music biz, try & choose pals with more talent then a cat stoned on its own cat litter ...
Or how about educating your readers on fine music, such as chilled bossa nova, nu jazz, or some smooth rare groove
Or could it be all that christian rock rotting the ol' braincells ? ... lol

A compliment is a currency unit of honor. Honor/shame is a zero sum game.
If you've done something for someone and get a compliment for it - honor has been paid for their material gain. When the honor of the compliment has not been earned, now you have a (small?) obligation. Ex: "You're so strong! Can you help me move this?"
The Alpha "deserves" his compliments and won't be bothered. Just another follower acknowledging his awesomeness. Less so the further you go down the hiearchy.
The Omega becomes paranoid on how the complimenter is trying to harm him.
That's why they call doing the work "manning up". Note that there is no such term for women. They aren't really expected to do anything in particular.
wow. they found two European hambeasts to be in this video.
I've never had a problem with compliments really. I don't expect them, but never really found myself thinking they were lacking. Except in the case of my parents throughout childhood.
