Dr. Helen rocks Fox

It's great to see Dr. Helen doing what the androsphere cannot do, in bringing the revolutionary message of Men on Strike to the mainstream media:
TUCKER CARLSON: That's all true, I agree with that completely, but it still doesn't absolve men of the responsibility to stop complaining about the cards are stacked against them, and man up and become me. Because you don't become a man until you assume responsibility.

DR. HELEN: What man would take such a raw deal?  I don't consider that a man.

TC: Well, it's not, actually, it's not a raw deal.  You derive deep satisfaction, as a man, by taking responsibility for other people.  That's the only place you get deep satisfaction

DH: So, men are supposed to take a really bad deal and sign their rights away, and you call that a good deal?  Look, you don't understand economic reward -

TC: Well, I did!

DH: You did, well, that's good, maybe you have a really good wife, but a lot of men don't feel that way.

OTHER GUY: Why hasn't a man written this book?

DH:  Because men can't speak up. I'm here to speak up because people will actually listen to a woman.  It's really unfortunate, I want the next man, and I'm hoping by this book, that this next man is out there.
She's doing a fantastic job in her interviews and I'll be doing an interview with her about the book and its reception once she finishes her current round of media appearances.  She is, quite literally, giving a voice to the voiceless, because as she knows very well, the media will begrudgingly give her the microphone it will never permit the likes of Roissy, Roosh, or me, still less the men who are incapable of articulating the male case.

This may take the fun out of irking the feminist chain in the long run but this IS over do I think. I will be following as much as possible.

Tucker Carlson came off as a "man up" tool in the first Fox News video where they discussed the book but didn't have Dr. Helen on.

Once again, in this video, he went on the man up attack.

But it seemed like by the end he was starting to give more credence to her arguments so IF he ever actually reads the book I think he might come around.

Here's a good interview she did with Lou Dobbs on Fox Business:

I wonder what would happen to a man interviewing someone about a book about female disadvantages made the comment "it still doesn't absolve women of the responsibility to stop complaining about the cards are stacked against them, and be more lady like. Because you don't become a real woman until you assume responsibility. You derive deep satisfaction, as a woman, by taking responsibility for other people."

Bets on how many people picket, how long before they lose their job?

@Trust

To ask the question is to answer it.

No trace of this book in the local stores.

What a stupid comment, more so coming from a spoiled rich-boy born into wealth, privilege, status, and networked into success from day-one. I would have loved to see Helen throw the "Stop complaining" part back at him with reference to the black civil rights movement.

_______

Exactly. Point is not to make the other person answer it, but make them think about it.

Dr. Helen's eloquence, polish, and obvious sincerity and concern constitute the most powerful weapon for our side since the War on Men began.

And still photos don't do her justice.

You would be an excellent choice to man the microphone. Perhaps Dr. Helen will mainstream the concepts enough to open the door to you or someone equally insightful and articulate. I don't know anything about Roosh, but Roissy seems like an unlikely voice for the andropshere. He's intelligent, insightful, and an exceptional craftsman with words, but it seems very unlikely that a godless libertine would be accepted in any way, shape, or form by the man-up brigade.

And yet, what he's saying is pretty much the truth. Probably not in the way he meant it, but in a more fundamental sense. Things are screwed up the way they are because too many men are content to live cowardly lives, afraid to stand up for themselves, afraid to do what's right, willing to kiss the ass of whatever tyranny promises them fewer kicks in the teeth. That opens the door for charlatans and con artists to set themselves up as kingpins and Lords of the Manor.

The situation isn't going to fix itself, and waiting around for Dr. Helen, or Sarah Palin, to put it right and emancipate men is...

Well, it's pathetic. It really is. She's doing great work, but honestly, do you expect any significant percentage of solipsistic women to turn off their rationalization hamsters and resume more feminine lifestyles because another woman told them the way things are is it's unfair to men? Good grief, you can't even really convince many of them it's unfair to themselves ten years down the line when they hit the wall unmarried or broken-homed with nothing but a lifetime of litter-boxes to look forward to. Pretty much all the women capable of doing that on their own already are.

Women aren't going to fix this. It's going to take men to fix it. Men taking responsibility not just for themselves, but for society again as well. And if society isn't worth it, then we've got to make a new society that is. I doubt Tucker Carlson means the same thing as I do though, but as a first step, being self-responsible is important.

The best thing Dr. Helen's book can do - and this is an important thing, is sow doubts in as many feminist minds as possible. That doubt won't by itself turn them around, but it might cause them to pause long enough for men to wrench society out of their withered, spinster-to-be claws. But it's still going to take men standing up and doing that.

And frankly, the more men who are standing up and living masculine lives, the more likely women will come around. The average woman has zero sympathy for a whinny Gamma sucking his thumb and crying for his mommy. She might have some sympathy for an Alpha or even a Beta who goes down swinging.

I have to agree with Tucker on this point. Most of us feel our value as man is based on how well we can provide for a family. Things are stacked against us, sure, but that's all secondary next to our responsibility.

When Sparta was almost of out of men from constant warfare the sate offered a huge bounty for women to have as many sons as possible. The birthrate only fell further and within 50 years Sparta fell. Women lost their slaves, their freedom, and their status because they were having too much fun being liberated women. Women cannot be expected to make ration choices and thus influencing them is pointless or gaining their sympathy is retarded. Men should become male supremacists who never factor in the opinion of a women into their thinking.

New societies are made by destroying the existing rotten society. Sometimes this is done with fire and sometimes though men refusing to maintain the parts of the house that haven't rotten through yet. American men have picked dropping out for now, but fire is always a possibility. Only once the corrupt society is gone can something better be built.

I don't think Dr. Helen is expecting women to change their minds from her book either. I think she wrote it for men (though having not read it I admit that's a guess).

For better or worse (well probably just worse) a lot of men are not comfortable with the thought of hearing a lot of what Dr. Helen has to say because it will brand them misogynist if they do. But if a woman is saying these things, then it is safe to listen and safe to learn more and talk openly about these things because she can't be a woman hater (though she will be branded one anyway). This message, for a lot of men, is packaged in a far safer manner.

That's true, but men taking responsibility for society in the right way would not mean taking responsibility for women in the way he's suggesting. On the contrary, it would mean taking power away from women -- taking charge of them, not marrying them and handing them the checkbook and car keys. Carlson's not suggesting that men take back the vote or end no-fault divorce and the presumption of maternal custody. When he says "man up and fix society," he just means, "accept and marry women as they are, and things will be fine, because I did and my life would be a pretty good model for society."

Mike said...

That is exactly it, cailcorishev. Carlson would be correct if he were arguing that none of this is an excuse for men to not pursue excellence in their lives. However, he gave no indication that he was saying that men should be all they can be regardless of whether or not they want to be husbands.

That's probably very true. I'm not sure how many of those men are going to be of any use, but surely some will, and that's a win.

Hence why I said "Probably not in the way he meant it" and "I doubt Tucker Carlson means the same thing as I do though, but as a first step, being self-responsible is important."

I think the best response to anyone suggestion you "man-up" is to take their advice and, literally. man-up. Be more masculine, less apologetic, more independent, assume a greater responsibility for yourself, show less tolerance for disrespect and cowardice... sure, sure, that's probably not what they thought they meant, but at heart it really is what they're asking for.

Folks like Carlson understand that men need to do their part in society and aren't. He's perhaps badly confused about what that actually entails, but he knows that's what's needed. A large number of men ceased playing a manly role in society long before the marriage strike got under way. Nearly all our societal ills stem from that failure.

Men are not incapable of articulating. It is just that the media is so highly controlled by feminists that they do not allow men to say anything. If a Warren Farrell or Glenn Sacks had to hold any address at any univ, people who attend the address are attacked and prevented from attending. And no media outlet ever publishes anything by Warren Farrell or Glenn Sacks and hence they are relegated to just the internet. But if a woman says something, everyone is all ears and media outlets actually pay attention to it. It is just the inherent bias of media outlets that prevents mens voices from being heard

When a woman (like TC) says "man up" what she means is to lay down like a door mat and not complain while she walks all over you. Which is the exact opposite of being a man

It is still a crying shame that certain gatekeepers disallowed, had no interest in, the above mentioned publishing a book.
